I like Chloe. I liked her when she stood for Mayor, and I still like her now she's co leader. She's not perfect, but she's young, hugely intelligent, committed, and personable. And she doesn't wear a suit, nor is she conditioned into the ways of the patriarchy, like so many of the other women in governance. I have never met her, but I get the feeling she's pretty honest for a politician. And she treats people well, I think.
I don't like Duncan Garner. Never met him either. Funny thing though, I get the feeling he and I wouldn't like each other. But then I know someone who has known him since he was a boy, and I have heard her talk about him and the way he relates to women. That and his public performances have probably influenced my attitude. He doesn't treat people well. I don't think he is honest. His Mum though is apparently a lovely woman, not someone who would be rude about anyone.
It's interesting how the way we present ourselves influences the way we are seen. It's a choice we make. So if someone comes across a certain way, maybe we should believe it. Authenticity is just so important, don't you think? We choose the image we present. Hat, or no hat...
