Rather than calling it arrogance, i would call it self confidence, and pride in who you are. I agree that confrontation changes few minds, but unless we stand up to the thoughtless and unthinking right, they will walk all over us. We need, in fact, to do more...make them cautious about pushing their repugnant philosophies, for fear of legal or other consequences.
