I hope this place isn't going to turn into a homogenous group of like minds. That is the road to stagnation.
I stand by my charge of arrogance. Arrogance lets us think we are right, challengers are wrong. It lets us solidify our position and never consider alternatives.
So what if someone stands up and calls us out? It makes us think, makes us explain, makes us flexible of thought.
So what if we don't like a challenger? If we cannot exercise discipline ourselves, the site has an Ignore function.
Banning someone is a last resort surely. And cheering when it happens is repulsive. I don't know how the decision is made here, I trust our mods, but I wouldn't trust myself to be one, because I have been there in other forums and know how difficult it can be. I do hope a few voices haven't locked heisenberg out, this one is raised in support of the man. Just as it would be for CT, dken, or any other poster who dares to challenge the resident left leaners.
We need them, if nothing else, they teach us to be disciplined when they poke us.
