Is that our job here? It's a forum. A forum is a place where people can speak. Controlling what they say is a dicey business. Things I consider lies might not be things you consider untrue. Requiring posts to be carefully thought out positions relating to the real world is dicey too, who is to be the judge?
Can't we just watch out for the really nasty stuff, the scams , the bots, and leave the human fools to show themselves up? Do we not have the ability to choose which thread to read? Which post to engage with? Can we not trust ourselves to just not go there? Or is it okay to chuck out a bit of fishing line and wait for a bite? Or, maybe take a wee nibble at someone else's bait?

In my opinion, there is nothing more telling than to post a thread and have it ignored. Even a single post, designed to stir up a bit of muddy water - getting nothing in return? That is way more discouraging...
