Luxon defends election changes after Judith Collins raises problems

some people go to war for the right to vote some people cant be bothered getting out of bed to vote

if you haven’t organised yourself to register to vote by the day of the election you miss out

Why should they though?  I'm pretty damned sure any delays introduced by last minute voter registrations will be dwarfed by prolonged coalition negotiations

There's also the delay related to collecting and counting 90,000+ overseas votes. Those seem to be managed okay so what exactly is the problem for a few late enrolling NZ voters?
