Except coments like that are more about your racism heisenberg, than reality. My bff is raising her grandchild. She is more pakeha than I am and so were his parents. Meth heads, who neglected their baby so badly that fourteen years later he still lives with PTSD. It isn't a race thing, it is drugs, poor housing, stupid choices, ignorant parenting and the poverty that follows all that stuff around. The reality that Maori are more frequently affected by those conditions is a result of our institutionalised racism - something I never understood as a comfortably raised fifties white woman. Until I had a Maori daughter. Boy was that a lesson in real life.

You've been sucked in by a mass delusion among the safe and comfortable classes. It isn't real, as our census stats reveal. Which, btw, is why this government talks of stopping the census. Easier to live their dream without the hard facts intruding...

Well sweetie, you yourself do seem to be rather skilled at assigning blame to someone else.

Just as long as its someone from one of the groups you - for whatever reason - dislike.

And as long as you can make snide, vile comments about those groups & pretend that your favoured group/s are as pure as the driven snow & can do no wrong.


It might not be a bad idea to remember that human all over the world do such things; it is by no means limited to this country since it is a part of human nature - albeit one of the very worst parts.

And perhaps not conveniently forget that the Celts, from whom many Kiwis are descended also had a tendency towards, as you put it stealing land/food/people...
