ONE MORE TIME: Yes, education IS funded by our taxes, THAT is the idea. FREE to access, having been paid for with taxes, hence "free education".
Which most manage to comprehend when the term free education is used..
It isn't free if people cannot afford it. If loans are required to access it. If only some of it comes without extra fees.
Cost is a barrier. If barriers exist it isn't free...
