Yesterday I noticed one of our little South Pacific iris' is in flower. So earlybut no complaints here. And our burgundy magnolia is beginning to bloom as well. Can't wait for the new magnolia to bloom but it's a little later in the spring season. We planned it so one finishes flowering and the other begins.
Our son phoned yesterday to tell us more town houses are being built around them and there is one 'hold out' in the block. He was laughing when he told us, the property owner had painted 'fu** off, I'm NOT selling' in huge letters on his fence. He obviously was getting sick of developers asking to buy his property lol. Imagine that being painted on a fence here lol. Son is also really excited about his upcoming trip to Japan.
I've finished the hardanger piece and am happy with it overall. A few mistakes but that's OK. I'll take a pic later and post it. Today I'll cut out and overlock some fabric, wind the new threads onto bobbins for this cross stitch and maybe even start it. I can do that while MrK's PC is here later this morning. She is an absolute godsend.
Time to put the steroids into the Furry One's ears. He hates it but needs must.
Brilliant, kudos to that home owner!

That's lovley KM, must have been hard on the eyes, all that fine work, well done.
Eldest granddaughter lives rurally so any parcels she has sent here & picks them up. One arrived earlier so sent message, said quite heavy & is it books?
So she replies no don't get excited, not books. but can I please have this book for my birthday this year? Ara, Hinempa Elder. Looks interesting, might have to read it (very carefully) before I give it to her.

Sun has just come out, might dry the washing with any luck.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
