Women make up the bulk of the aged population. Women, who outlive men, have fewer opportunities to save, and often face bigger obstacles to being well funded into their senior lives.

Means test super you raving fools, and put in a fair taxation system that includes a sensible balanced cgt. As part of the redesigning of our failing economic system...

Shirkers? The biggest shirkers are those who evade their taxes. Who make their money here using resources and labour from here, who then move the business overseas because its cheaper to do that. The real shirkers who don't need social welfare benefits but sign up and take them anyway. The real shorkers who hire minimum wage young people to clean their homes, bring up their kids, do their shopping, so they can continue to earn huge salaries in important jobs.

When I was working and raising kids, there was no spare money for saving - we lived from pay to pay. That was at a time when people on my income could afford to buy a house. Things now are much worse, with ridiculous rents and house prices, so saving for retirement is out of the question for the majority.
