If a stranger came to our house they would form the impression that we read few books, while in fact our enormous and well-filled book shelves are out of sight in the hall, we have almost 1000 books in our household Kindle account and we use the library so much that I reckon we cover our rates in borrowed books.
I'm too scared to count mine - six bookshelves hold quite a bit!
Sunny so far so did a bit of washing & nailed string along the fence for when I do planting - need to get more too. I should know by now but somehow I always forget.

MrK built me a bookshelf in one of the spare bedrooms. There was a lotttt of swearing involved lol as it goes around a corner. He built it so we could put doors on it if we wanted too. We went through our books last year and donated loads to the book fair. Ended up coming home from the fair with just as many lol. I can't imagine not having books in the house. Kids complain they had nothing to do back in the day, read a book! And our love of books has been passed on through the generations with both of our kids and grandkids avid readers. Books tend to be 'recycled' throughout MrK's family too, we're always swapping them. The last person gets to either keep, donate, or if asked, returned to the original owner.Ohh, and Lilith, your post about re-reading Watership Down has inspired me to do the same at some stage. MrK has a gorgeous copy of it bought many moons ago.
Its always interesting, to read a book again after several years. The book is now very different, because we're different. Definitely interesting.
I did manage to find Watership Down & it's coming apart so have glued it back together & if that doesn't work will get another copy.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
