im sure the racist tpm and the teatowel wearing green shoplifting deviant party and labour will save the planet or at least cripple aorteas economy

Our economy is the product of a broken system, one we humans invented, and one we keep patching up and panel beating despite all the evidence that tells us it's proper fumfookled. But the moment anyone suggests we could design a better one - with all the figures and strategies and research that underpins those new possibilities, some silly self interested dolt screeches blue murder that 'the sky is falling'...

Still  I guess that involves less thinking than actually considering new ideas.

Over a decade ago, Portugal decriminalsied drugs. They now have a far lower rate of deaths from overdose; they did things properly & set up rehabs clinics etc etc.
We could perhaps learn from that.

Finland has a fairly high rate of taxes, used to pay for education, health etc. etc. And also year after year, the world's happiest people.
We could learn from that as well.

Teaching schoolkids empathy & perhape even meditation wouldn't hurt either.

It makes sense to do what we can to encourage the better side of human nature, as far as posible.

We don't seem to be all that good at common sense though.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
