You can never have enough...
Morning everyone

The sun is out here, but it was a cooler night. Missy being my temp gauge lol.

I have the car loaded and will take it up to the Oppy this morning. I too need Milk lol..

David rang last night. Which is normal when its been a hard day at the home. We both get it out of our system. Dianne and I do it via text. General consensus is that they are acting like teenage girls. But it helps for us to talk it out, and start the new day.

Cam may have another infection so David is going in this morning. Cos they think its fine to leave him until Thursday when the Dr visits. Its not ok and they need to hear that.

Think Ill have a day off after being up the road. And I need to cook again. Been cramping and I think its a lack of salt.

Have a fab day all

Fine at moment  a wind storm last night down to brisk breeze this morning our lawn is covered in rose petals.

Just back from  physio session I am improving slowly more exercises to do  and I am being good doing my homework.

Think I might make our Xmas cake  this morning  other than that I have no plans. Knitted another pair of booties last night . Knitting currently makes my thumb a bit sore but doing smaller project and trying to only do one bootie a night obviously my compulsive  nature over rode that last night and I nighter 2 : Rolleyes  it is so hard not to have hand work when sitting down at night.

Coffee finished need go move

Enjoy your  day

Exactly why I love this random stitchery I keep returning to. It's not about the stitches, it's about the way handwork affects my mood. And just now, I am going through one of those book deserts, where every library book is useless, except for the ones I demolished in a sitting or two. Library day tomorrow, thank heavens...

Maybe something here will catch your fancy.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Oh I feel so pure. I have destroyed ten years worth of visual diaries into a recycling bag for the bin, and rescued the unused pages to donate to the kids corner at my local cafe. And freed up more space as well as contributed to this svedish death decluttering thing I really have to do.

I am going to reward myself with coffee.

afternoon ladies Smile Boy, it's hot out there.

I left for Hamilton nice and early and was home by lunchtime. Will be leaving that early again, it was so good driving and having the supermarket pretty much to myself. Roma, you will love the new roads coming off the Pairere roundabout, we can use two new roads now.

The Furry One has the summertime itchiness he has every summer and this time the vet has a new foam, no water, shampoo. We'll see how it goes but wow, it was easy to apply and no water. Can be used on cats and horses as well and perfect for a dog that hates being wet. We've applied it and now he has the zoomies lol.

While in Spotlight, the cardiac booking clerk phoned asking if I would like my first appointment tomorrow at 9.00am. She didn't need to ask twice! Absolutely made my day. I suspect they had a cancellation.

Happy crafting Smile

Good feeling, isn't it. I felt similarly virtuous last week when I gathered up some images, feathers & coloured paper for second eldest granddaughter - there's a tiny bit more space now.

Ahh, but I do Mica! Less to make me feel guilty! And I pulled the new Briscors duvet inner out of the cover, it's just too hot. I have replaced it with the teenty odd year old Warehouse feather version which is very thin, in the hope it provides the warmth needed in the early hours but no extra heat when all I need is a sheet. We shall see. And all clean and freshly laundered, which is nice.

I have some clouds out there. Might be some evening rain coming in...

morning ladies Smile That southerly was freezing, and we now have leaves blown everywhere like we have skipped summer and gone straight to autumn.

The Furry One caught another Furry Feind last evening, I have a headless bunny to pick up and bury shortly. That brings his lifetime tally to 43. He didn't eat it all as he had just finished his dinner. The foam shampoo seems to have worked with taking the itch out of his skin, but it does leave his fur feeling a little oily.

Off to Waikato this morning, we will be using the newly built roads on the new roundabout. Only one road to finish and that should be by the middle of next year. It has made a huge difference already, even with traffic using the old service road.

Morning everyone

Looks lovely out, but chilly lol.

Crap sleep last night. I was a awake every hour.. But thankfully I went back to sleep each time.

It was a lovely feeling taking a full car out, and coming home with an empty one. the hardest one was taking two 14 inch tvs to the recycle place. They dont work on todays systems. Just felt wasteful.

Still have to repack a bit more in the garage to take up to the recycle center. but Ill bag what I can. Im going to splash the cash on rubbish bags this week lo. $17ish for 5 bags. Im also going to throw alot of glass jars into the recycling.

Off to the home today for Painting. I might shock everyone and wear my new T shirt that Dianne gave me.

Its odd but it feels like Saturday today lol

Got the front hay put in yesterday took twice the time.. I've decided to weed spray the paspalum.. It will make it very patchy for a while. But its soo hard to mow when I cant get the blade off to be sharpened properly. Will have to do what I can with it before I do the back. Which may take two hits at it.

I got one of my failure diamond pictures and "Glued" it over the top to see how it worked yesterday. And its not too bad. So I will do Annies picture today and give it a couple of days to dry. Then I can cut it to size and stick onto the prepped Canvas.

Have a fab day everyone

Given Madame de La Cat's reaction to life without milk, thought I'd look it up again to see if I could make sense of her reaction. So far, apart from the shoulder leaping, it hasn't been much more than plaintive meowing while glaring at human & casting pointed glances at her saucer. But the other day I was busy doing something, bent slightly over the table & the next thing, the little toad was hanging by her claws from the back of my jeans!
Somewhat disconcerting to say the least, though luckily no claws/skin contact or I might have exited through the roof.

So, thought it might be a good idea to find out what I could about lactose intolerance in cats.

The first sentence was 'most normal cats are lactose intolerant'....

THAT was a bit of a clue & on reading further & discovering that she has a grand total of NO symptoms of being lactose intolerant, I have had to face the awful truth...
as I had suspected - this is NOT a normal cat.

Just my luck...I'm doomed.

One of my Abyssinian cats liked to jump up and be a fur collar. I did manage to stop the unexpected leaps and got her to do it on command after the fateful leap when I had just got out of the shower  both feline and myself were very surprised. I think it may gave traumatised my DD who came running to see her naked mum with said feline on my head.
Luckily no claws were involved

Still lovely day here having trouble getting motivated to do something and not read my book

Lovely mental image!

She's the second cat I've had who likes to be a collar. The first almost caused an accident one day when she jumped on my shoulder as I bent to check the letter box, just as a car was going past...the driver couldn't believe what he was seeing & very nearly hit a power pole.

Cardioligist appointment went well and yep, I need to have an ablation where they scar my heart to prevent the new electric pathways from working. In the meantime, I was gently told I am over doing things and have to slow down. I have new meds to take as well. Once I've had the procedure and have recovered, I won't need to take any more meds Smile

That's mostly good news then, really & if you have to slow down then perhaps it might just be a little bit. At least now you know what's what. Smile

Ahhh, cats aleaping sparked a rather lovely memory for me! About the time my darling renamed one of our three felines 'Coitus Interruptus'...

And having just incurred a full srt of needle spikes on one knee, I have trimmed the tips of the Tatty cats front claws. Must be the season for needling!

Plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots and purple sparrowgrass in the shopping this morning. And a white flushed pink gaura from the plant shop, reject reduced to a tenner. Thank you very much I have just the right place for it...

Cant say my Madam jumps all over me. I guess that makes her considerate.. But she stuck one claw in my knee scar a couple of weeks ago and that Jolly hurt.

morning ladies Smile Another beautiful day on the way.

yes. Lilith, at least I know what I'm in for and there is a plan in place. I see this heart stuff as a blip in life. Let's get it sorted and move forward. Heat tired is different to heart tired and I need to manage it a bit better.

It's going to be a busy day today. The physio is visiting MrK this morning (I have a small packet of chockies for her as a thank you), the lawn is mowed, and my sister-in-law and her dogs are coming for lunch. She is going to take the last of the bricks back with her Big Grin and drop some stuff off from MrK's other sister.

My Christmas list is growing as well. But sooo satisfying to have things ticked off.

We came home from my appointment yesterday to be greeted by a very smug Furry One with a very full, round, tummy. I found the tail of another Furry Feind on the lawn, so that's another one gone. Wish he could catch the parents. He is hunting smarter now, hiding by the wheelie bins and waiting for the rabbits to pop out from under the garden shed.
