You can never have enough...
Wouldn't hurt to ask popeye, meds change and improve all the time. If not celebrex, then maybe orphenadrine, I found that amazing for overnight pain relief when I accidently woke up the muscles in my shoulders...

Got most of the washing done, just putting it all through the dryers now. The silk has survived with some dsaage, but I was going to repair that anyway. The linens may not be so lucky, but I will try again and see. The quilts seem good, and I am very grateful for that. Just doing the winter woolies now. Thank goodness for machine washable yarns...

And the new tank looks great, more room in that cupboard and its an energy efficient Rheem which might help the power bill. But I have to have a builders inspection because the leak came from above, the ceiling and the insulation may have been affected, and new flashing will be needed.

I am so going to have fun with management this afternoon...

I Have made a Note Hunnie. And thank you Kiwimade.

Is Celebrex on prescription?

I have a phone appointment with my Dr on Friday, otherwise I couldn't see him until July 7th.. Im actually glad cos he wont be asking me to bend over lol.

He is working from home... is it school holidays? I have lost track of those lol.

Fingers crossed you are having fun with management.. And a good idea getting them to check higher up.

Perhaps tomorrow depending on my pain I plan on going out to the front of the garage. There is a pipe across it with holes drilled in it to move the water away from the door. But the stones are nearly covering it. So Ill take the rake out and move them. And see if that will stop the rain coming in. It hasn't hit the freezer yet but I dont want it to either.

I do like this staying home cos I feel like it versus wanting to go out but dont have the money to lol... I will run out of apples before shopping day, but it will only be for one day. Otherwise it will be a week that Ive been at home, on shopping day.

The bank likes it lol.. I do enjoy this savings stuff again lol.. Money always burnt a hole in MrP's pockets... Thankfully he stopped wanting money when he lost $50 from his pocket and got told off, not only by me but his Big brother. He had a wallet and should have been using it.
But he still wanted things Yesterday..

Had to venture out earlier, just a few spots of rain so decided to risk it.

And once it was too far to bother going back, down it damn well came. Remembered to put plastic bag on bike seat once I got there just in case, & the roof windows showed blue sky & sun so thought coming home would be no problem.

And nor it was - until I was well on the way when down it came again.
Days like this, you'd swear that there was someone up there going 'quick she's on the road again, turn the tap on!'

Absolutely, free on script. Just take with large glass of water, or food, and keep an eye on your bloods.

The flat looks like hell, but everything is sorted. And I have more space for clothes and stuff, and the landlords will contribute to extra power costs when I jump through their hoops.

I think I'll stay in bed tomorrow. Till the builder arrives to assess any possible damage...

morning ladies Smile It's chilly this morning, but not cold enough to have the heat pump on.

Glad the landlords are contributing to your power bill, OHH. So, they should. Next time, they might get there quicker!

We don't qualify for the low power use subsidy Sad Can't figure that one out as we were always on the low user rates. They must have upped the limit. But we are on the 'hardship' list. I also wonder if it's because we manage our $$$ by paying something fortnightly rather than not paying at all. Who knows.

lol Lilith, at least you were on your way home and not heading out when it rained. But yes, I agree, there must be someone who looks down and thinks, there she is, rain NOW! lol

Yesterday we managed to dodge the raindrops for MrK's specialist appointment in Hamilton. Not a very pleasant experience taking photos of your bladder, but it's done now. He's on the urgent list for the clinic.

Once the wheelie bin has been emptied, I'll shovel some more sand into it. By the looks of the pile, I'm roughly half way through. And when the sand has gone, I have nine big pieces of concrete I was going to use as stepping stones but have changed my mind. I'll break them up one by one with the sledgehammer and dispose of the pieces the same way as the sand. It's how I got rid of all the concrete pieces before. A few at a time and squished in between garden waste to protect the bin. It's slow but works.

Almost there with the hardanger. Roughly a couple of afternoons to finish the actual design and another to do the hemming should see it finished. You'll know when it's done lol as you'll hear the whoop-whoops lol.

Morning all
Sun out. Already warmer than yesterday.

Gosh been alot of chat yesterday. OHH how disappointing that some of your precious stuff has got damaged, glad the management  will contribute to your power bill and hope that there is no damage to the bathroom wall.
Lilith at least you were on the way home I always think there is someone  flicking the red traffic light when they see me coming.
Got notified our power is increasing 1 July  from 26c/KWh to 26.68 not sure what that will mean in $ .

My sewing buddy popped in yesterday  her DH is in rehab unit after 5 months in hospital after falling hitting his head and consequently  having a brain bleed. He is progressing well. The occupational therapist and the ACC person visited their home yesterday to start sorting  out his needs.
KM I recall that you got a folding electric chair for MrKM  I was telling her they existed  and she was very interested  any advice, tips, brands to look for.

Quiet day until I pickup DGD1 for a sleep over tonight. Need to make her fav dessert  chocolate  mousse.

Enjoy your day and keep warm

Ran the hot tap in the bathroom basin this morning, the one tap with no mixer... And discovered just how hot that water is. Damnation, I need whichever tech back to make that a liitle less dangerous, and a little less costly. Tomorrow's problem though, today I am in recovery mode, the body is in denial...

Some of us like recipes, so you might like one I tried for the first time last night. It's from the Ozzie chef who is The Recipe Tin, she makes food for those who need it, by the hundreds of serves, incredible woman, on instagram, and has cookbooks out. This one is called Quick Bread, it's a variation on soda bread, much richer, softer, and totally glorious with soup, as I had it last night, having run out of Molenberg laziness. Herby, cheesy, garlicky yummy goodness, two slices for today, and another two in the freezer. Well worth the washing up...

Good afternoon everyone lol..

Not really but I didn't wake up until 8-45 and that's Really late for me lol.

And we have your Fog Kiwimade lol.

Well the Powerbill arrived.. Largest bill I have ever had, but it was 44 days so it could have been worse. $140 for the usage, $96 for the fixed charges.. Thankfully I was in credit and still am. But Im sticking with my little heater for the lounge only.

Glad you are getting things sorted Hunnie, but yes get that water turned down a bit. Its dangerous.

Maybe I have the Rain Genie here. Its not often I get caught in the rain, I can only think of a couple of weekend ago when a lady shared her umbrella with me. even unlocking the gate has been dry SO FAR.

Ohh Kiwimade not good having a full bladder and having the travel. When MrP had to do it. We went up, with him drinking what he could, but early so he could get the required amount without having a bumpy road to go on.

Don't think Ill be doing much today... Probably just painting. Ill check in with Dianne soon. She also had a bad start yesterday.

A sister friend in CHCH is knitting a hat for her.. Purrino? Possum and merino and she has a pom pom for it too. The wool alone is $34 But I dont care. I know it will help. Its a dark charcoal colour and black pom pom.

Have a fab day all.

That possum and merino is on my needles at the moment. Every now and then I catch sight of a tiny brown fibre, from some unfortunate possum, spun into the wool. It is a lovely insulator, that hat will be very cosy...

Thats good to know.. It sure isn't cheap but I would pay anyway.

Her sister is going to see her this afternoon, which is good. But she can be draining so I told her to make sure she sends her on her way if it gets to be too much.

We decided we are Tough Witches with Capital B's lol... To be honest not many of my friends would cope with what we have been through..

Its got cold again.

Oh_hunnihunni, will it be itchy on your skin, I can't wear wool it itches anywhere it touches me and I get rashes if I try to mentally power through the torment.

The material I like is Orlon, an artificial fibre, so soft, lovely on skin, very warm but light, good to sleep in, it's like a miracle if you have sensitive skin.

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

It did indeed. I wimped out. I remained warm and cosy in my bed with the Tatt. We will do life again tomorrow. Tough only goes so far...

The one thing I dislike about this new place is the bathroom.

It has louvre windows and that makes it cold.

No heat lamp either. There is a fan.

And I swear Im sure the temp drops 5 degrees if I turn that on, which is hard cos its connected to the light switch. So they go on together.

Night visits means I turn the light on in the laundry that you go through to get to the bathroom, so its light enough and not freezing.

I decided to break out one of my red beautifully soft blankets, mainly cos there is something on the blue one, and I dont know what it is or how it got there.. Ill wash it when its fine enough..

So Madam is about to get a short shift cos I need to go put my piece of roast pork in the cooker. A total splash, and I will have roast veges with it.

Omg, popeye, that is exactly what I do for exactly the same reason! Bloody fans, bloody landlords who connect them to the light switch, even with a built in delay, and double bloody landlords who say yes, we'll put in a heater for you if you pay for it and installation. That'd be $350...

Bugger them. I shall pee in the dark, lol.

I could always blame the Tatt. She's very useful for that sort of thing. Currently in the kitchen with a pained expression looking down at two bowls with food that has been there since lunch.

Not happy.
