You can never have enough...
OM Goodness I didnt realise that 60 year olds can still have Hissies,.

Trouble is I dont recall her ever having one before.

School friend was visiting on Friday, but Auntys Erins "nephew" just got a call to go up to Manukau for an MRI He has a brain tumour and been waiting 5 months for this scan which they said would only be 2 months. Her hubby is stuck in CHCH cos of the fires and he drives a truck that carries vehicles, so getting a return crossing over the straight is proving hard. so he wont be back until Saturday at the earliest.

Of course Im happy to take them up for the scan. They well Erin and her son have both dropped things to help when I have been stuck.

School friend isn't talking now. very odd. She wanted to come down and talk about losing weight, even tho I told her it was a new pill that she doesn't qualify for... her one and only response was Oh well I wont lose weight then..

Ummm Kinda shocked really.. And Im home all weekend , and a few days before surgery..

morning ladies Smile It's a tad wild and woolley out there!

Oh well popeye, you can't control what others think and say, I would just ignore her for now. Some people live in their own little bubble.

Another appointment for me, this time with WINZ. Slowly working my way through all the appointments. It has worked out so well, each appointment leads on to the next. All the stars aligned for sure over this. I saw our GP yesterday for me but that was also good timing to tell her about MrK before she received the oncologist's report. She is going to make sure all the drugs he will need will be in stock and will also talk to him this afternoon about taking him off his warfarin and other meds. No point in them now and it will save the continuous blood tests. Pohlen is also holding back the paperwork for funding as things are going to change now he is under palliative care. There are so many good people out there supporting us through this. They don't deserve the crap this government is throwing at them.

Today I'll be returning MrK's walker and the things that raised the height of the sofa. And I have a few things for the op shop as well. Some shorts that no longer fit MrK because of the swelling and other bits and bobs. Yesterday I bought him some shorts with elastic waist bands which should be more comfortable and easier for the nurses to manage. I have unpicked the seams of his shirts and PJ sleeves to ease the pressure on the swelling as he prefers his cotton shirts to singlets or t shirts.

I think I'm organised to face the day. If I'm not, the universe isn't going to collapse on me. Smile

Good morning everyone

That's exactly what Im doing KM.. Cant be bothered with Tanties especially from a 60 year old. It shocked me really.

Sounds like you have things under control at the mo. Good to be getting things sorted.

Oops cos of all the fb talking re the young man last night I forgot my night time pills IE warfarin so thats going to kick off the low. My last dose on Saturday for pre-op... Its midly scary but also not often we dont get the chance to not take them .

Bloods with Dianne today and then we will have lunch. Then I have my Drs appointment. Ill warn him I missed the warfarin lol

Had a very late night this morning lol. Chatting with my twin. Not often we get to talk for ages.

Stay safe from the wind and wet everyone

Have a good day

Silver and calm out there this morning, Tatt has been out to check the estate and returned for breakfast so all is right with her world. The light out there is turning all the Spring greens on to their neon brilliance, but I'll bet the freshly cut lawn is squishy underfoot with all yesterday's drizzle. I had a lovely quiet day yesterday, a laundry load, a bit of kitchen cleaning and then made a silly offer on a TM auction for a dress I fancied for the fun of it. Brand new, something someone impulse bought that was the wrong size for her, and at 10pm got an email to tell me I'd won it. So you know who will be prancing around in that bit of finery next week lol, mad colours almost full length, might take a bit of courage to wear but so pretty, it'll make me smile which is all that really matters.

Be nice if the sun came out, but I will settle for just no more rain...

Good morning.

Cloudy and very warm,  hardly a breath of wind. That will change by the forecast!

Glad everything falling into place KM.

Today I need to work things around having GD here,  with the strike on. She is fairly easy going so should be all good with getting things done and keeping her entertained.

Had better keep moving.

Have a good day all.

Im waiting for better weather so I can wear my two new dresses...   Never have I wanted Summer to arrive as much as I do this year lol.

Mine are pink and white gingham and the other is  an Olive green.. neither have sleeves, so my grandmothers Spares will be on show. but I dont have to look at them lol.

I might possibly get away with the denim one too, which is also sleeveless lol.

I just did something I seldom do.

Had a wee rant on FB.. Political Rant..

Why does luxon think its ok for them not to tell us where they get the money from to do things for the country, and yet he can say Labour are hiding things as well..

Only one fenceline to weed and it will be done for a bit. So satisfying having the weeding done, I just blank out and get on with it. The rain started just as I finished up for the morning.

MrK sounds sooo much calmer and peaceful now he has made his decision, and the oncologist has pretty much confirmed what he suspected. There is no panic or stress in his voice and his whole body is relaxed. That month of being in 'limbo' and not knowing was hell. Our GP is organising the drugs he will need soon so there will be no waiting for pain relief. Things are beginning to happen at long last.

Have a good day, everyone Smile

Lol Mica, I suspect the calm before the storm here.

GD playing with dolls while I finish my cuppa ... then she wants book time.

So much easier for you KM that Mr K is calm and accepting. How good that he is in such a nice environment as well,  a big load off your shoulders.

I think I will always have a garden of some sort,  even if it's in pots, for a happy place.

Books are awaiting  Heart

Good morning ladies
Got my vege seedlings planted yesterday so they will enjoy this rain forecasted. Just a little drizzle so far but forecasted to be heavier later this afternoon. Our son is due to fly out of Christchurch this afternoon but don't like his chances. He's been down at Tekapo working this last week.
Need to pick your brains ladies. I have been working on a blanket made up of squares for our grandson's birthday. I'm considering backing it to help it keep its shape. I'm not a sewer so what would be the best fabric to use and how do I go about it? Look forward to hearing your ideas.

I was highly impressed with some of the new drugs available after the last hip op. I am pretty good with pain, after years of learning, but fentanyl was a revelation. I can see why it is so dangerous, the results are kind of delicious, lol. Gabapentin though, didn't agree with me. As my GP said, every body responds differently...

It sounds as if things are as good as they can be for Mr K, so that makes it slightly easier on you KM, & having such a good Dr would make all the difference too

Moved all the plants from the path to beside the shed, hoping it shelters them in the expected wind & have hung out that bit of washing with fingers crossed that it dries before the wind arrives, not really much else I can do by way of preparation, except perhaps an early walk for Madame le dog.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
