These two eagles are brooding two eggs through to the end of Winter.  The female Jackie has been on the nest all night in quite bad conditions, it's mid-day there now:

The nest is located in Big Bear Valley in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. It is about 145 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine tree. The nest is the current home for Jackie and Shadow, a local bald eagle pair

She's been there in that same position since at least 11pm last night and of course much longer than that, Shadow should come in and give her a break soon I think.

She moves every now and again to adjust her head into the wind.

Been looking at this header for some time now in a little bit of worry..... Is "Live Feed of Bald Eagle Nest" something like that Chinese dish "Bird nest soup"?

Sadly, "Live Feed of Bald Eagle Nest" cannot be recommended for the discerning diner. If truly live, the eagle is a tad feisty by the time it hits the bowl, and also grievously under-cooked. PPE is strongly advised, similar to a beekeeper's outfit upgraded to a bearkeepers version.

Jackie flew off around 15 mins ago, and the eggs are exposed.
Shadow is nowhere to be seen
How long can eggs survive without heat?
Hope she comes back very soon

Jackie and Shadow have abandoned the nest now and the eggs are deemed non-viable.

Have to wait to see if they lay another clutch or next season will be the earliest we may see chicks.

Two crows?  landed 5 minutes ago and after a cautious look around, they have now smashed the eggs and eatened the contents.

Shadow came back to the nest to find the eggs gone because the Ravens had eaten them.

Turns out the eggs must have been non-viable from the beginning as no evidence of any chick development whilst the ravens were eating the eggs, just fluids.
