Samsung a15 can't answer incoming calls.
#1
Just bought this - a fiddle to set up but I got it working. It sends and receives texts, and can originate calls, but not answer incoming calls. I've reseated the sim card, done a restart, checked diverts - there seems to be no option to turn these off. The phone was sold as "network 5G" by JB Hi Fi - no provider specified. We are using a One NZ SIM, which works fine in another (dumb) phone. Any suggestions?

May be different, but a while back I couldn't answer my phone -- It turned out that an Upgrade INCLUDING the Bluetooth was the problem, I turned off the Bluetooth and bingo was working. Seems the Bluetooth was trying to connect to something and overriding the answering option.

My son had a similar, he could answer but no one could hear him when he spoke -- the stupid thing was there was some fluff or something in the voice part of the phone and was perfectly muting it.
Upgrades = Old bugs replaced with new Bugs.

I feel better about my samsung a now. I just have to remember how to disconnect calls.

I hate cell phones.

There are still some dumphones available. We got this phone because my wife's ancient Nokia won't work when they turn off 3g next year. I suggested a newer dumphone, but I think she rather fancied a smartphone.

I've turned off bluetooth, thanks for the tip Wainuitech - but now I have to wait while the thing downloads an update before I can test it again.

Well - I've tested it with bluetooth turned off - still no go. I think I'll be visiting JB Hi Fi tomorrow.

Nah, I went to this one because my nokia flip was driving me nuts. The teeny keyboard with multiple taps to get to the letter needed was exceedingly irritating, and the screen - yuk. I gave it to my friend's grandson so he has no excuse not to let her know where he is. He's 12, and inclined to wander off...

I quite like the Samsung, I'm just a klutz. With digital devices. I discovered this afternoon though, that I can still beat up a typewriter. Funny how that two finger skill comes back really fast. Love it...

I got the phone working - I set the "up volume" button to answer calls. It appears we may need to learn the "Samsung touch".

Hang on. Maybe I need to do volume down to disconnect...

Mind you, throwing it across the room seems to work.

Bloody thing.

Was wifi calling turned on?
Ive encountered issues with some of the cheaper samsung A series not taking calls very well over wifi calling.
In one instance, it would not call out, either it would disconnect or not even call out at all, incoming calls appeared OK, and wifi strength/speed was good.
Tested it on my wifi with zero issues however.
I suggest you disable wifi calling and see if it behaves better?
Edit, i see you got it sorted, but keep an eye on it if the problem persists.

We got our 13 year old granddaughter to give a tutorial - we now know how to answer calls!
