That's a lovely picture of the penguin, Sir Nils Olav III, and how those people Edinburgh Zoo employees Lorna Moffat and Michael Livingstone, are admiring him. A special moment in time.

There's no shortage of unusual naval traditions and seamen in general are a superstitious lot originating from the risky nature of being at sea I guess. An albatross round your neck...

Anyway it's not too different to granting legal person status to the likes of the Whanganui River for example, again for reasons that aren't immediately apparent.
