THAT does not sound like a democracy.
I've been trying to stop swearing lately; but this callous, underhanded govt is making that extremely difficult. Devious, underhanded, money focused band of b'stards.

Money making is all they have, it's their central focus, morally and ethically bereft.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Underlying it all is they just want to be in power and have the final say.

The big question here is how a right wing politician was in labour to begin with?
I don't like many of his policies he introduced, but at the same time NZ was left in a ton of debt by the previous national government. Now it's the other way round and we were left with 120 billion dollars of debt by the last labour government.

The right wingers infiltrated the Labour Party to undermine it.
Roger Douglas and Richard Prebble and the New Right in the Labour Party, do you not remember that?

And I remember why NZ was an economic basket case after the Muldoon years . A wage & price freeze as a last desperate gasp to try & fix inflation. Total govt control over everything . Total Govt monopolies over everything . Import bans and tarrifs to try & prop up NZ companies . Douglas had the task to Bring NZ out of the 1950's way of doing things. That was allways going to cause pain .

While this country may have needed change, we did not need brutal bashing & slashing. Under Neo Liberalism the few did very nicely at the expense of many, which is still the case today thanks to successive govts since.
