Funding cuts to charity particularly felt over Xmas

Although, from a govt which has already reduced the cost & quality of school lunches, reduced benefits, cut school bus service in some rural areas, cut support for foodbanks & doles out tax breaks to those doing very nicely thank you, cut the health budget & not bothered to employ half graduating nurses, fired over 9000 public servants & frozen social housing projects, we can hardly have expected them to suddenly exhibit their spirit of Xmas & goodwill to all, especially since its abundantly clear that they appear to be entirely lacking in that particular department... Sad Dodgy

They don't seem to get it, as a Government you feed money in at the bottom and the whole country has a go at getting it out at the top, one way or another.

That the nature of the game.

No money in means no money out, and recession or worse.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

A fraction of the profits that the so called charity called sanitarium makes would be able to fund all the school lunches nationwide, except it directly funds a cult called the seventh-day Adventists.

Definitely agree; they really shouldn't be legally able to run a  business but claim to be a charity simply because they happen to be a particular religion.
