Raining
Had lovely day yesterday with family we did sunny day so GK could run around outdoors
K9 decided to be an escape artist twice. First phone call (we an hour away up the coast and had kindly left the door open so he could go outside something we have done many times before)he is down the street to join another k9. Kind people caught him phoned me and kindly returned him to our house and shut the sliding door. Half hour later another call k9 had joined the serviced apartments xmas lunch in the main block was having a lovely social time. Lovely people here returned him decided only way he was getting out was via cat door and some how breeching the fence. So internal garage door closed all windows closed. He assumed his watch position in our bedroom window. K9 very happy when we returned. Now we watching him as cant see where he is getting out unless he is squeezing through the bars in the fence
We blobbing out today
Enjoy your day

Morning everyone
It has rained. But the sun is out.
Wow Mica the little ratbag. Amazing how little they need to be able to squeeze through gaps eh.
Im off to find some shoes today. Might as well make my gift cards go further. I used to love going shopping on Christmas Eve and then Boxing day. So it should be fun.
Then Ill be home to paint. I haven't done any for a few days. Ohh I might take the measurements of two of the picture's and see if the warehouse has frames that will fit. My friend said she got some buy one get one half price. I might Give David the two blue flower pictures for his Birthday. They are his colours..
Odd thing, he brought me some plums yesterday Yay. but also a bottle of tonic water.. Which I had been talking about to someone else about how it helps with cramp.. I said was it you I was talking about to, he said no... the Esp must have been working lol. I never used to like the taste so Ill give it a go.
Have a fab day all

What a smarty pants K9 Mica = the Albert Einsten of the canine world! Or should thet be Houdini...
Not doing much at all today, still feeling a bit tired from yesterday but managed a bit of weeding... & an alleged cat rescue. Madame le Cat claimed to be stuck in a low-ish hanging branch so I endeavoured a rescue - result, several broken small branches, twigs everywhere, cat on ground again & human requiring four band aids fro scratches from branches.

afternoon ladies Hot, sticky and thundery here today.
Yesterday was lovely, perfect weather for outdoor eating. The kids have left for home Word has spread I need to rest, rest and rest again so Christmas gifts were lots of embroidery threads and fabric. I think I have a lifetime supply of threads lol.
Ohhh that little ratbag, mica. They always seem to find a way.
Cream puffs... now there's something I haven't made for years.
I might spend some time designing the next embroidery piece.
Happy crafting

morning ladies Another wet day ahead of us, there was lots of thunder yesterday.
I'm catching up with laundry this morning and have some beds to remake. That will be enough for the day. Although, I have a waterfall begonia corn/bulb to plant. It's bright yellow so am looking forward to seeing it flower.
A family member suggested I use the old silk threads to stitch a family tree. I thought this was a really good idea so will leave the idea to muddle around in my head for a while.

Morning everyone
Grey and overcast here.
Glad you had a nice time Kiwimade. Making beds is a sure fire way of wearing yourself out.
I haven't made cream puffs for a very long time either.
The Pav looks wonderful.. I love that you simply throw everything in the mixer and let it beat for 10 minutes with the whisk. Ill take a photo before I go to the home.
Trifles enjoyed and no more till next Christmas lol..
Was going to get some of the lawn done this afternoon but it doesn't look good weather wise. I will sharpen the blade tho and I must remember to tighten the battery terminals on the car. Some days it just wont start, unless I jiggle them a bit.
Call the Midwife Christmas Special tonight.. Yay.
Have a fab day everyone

Wild and windy here been stormy most of the night.
Decided to visit Spotlight 40% off needed tracing interfacing usually $40/ 10 m roll down to $28 so bought 2. Found some rayon fabric that might do for dress to wear to wedding in January thats washed and dried so can hack into that over the next few days once I have sorted out a pattern. Two more pieces quilting fabric for my eyespy 5 inch square collection jellybeans and sheep and calves so will cut those up today so they are ready to go
Finally remembered to get my pastry out so I can make some Xmas mince pies.
Like the idea of family tree KM
Enjoy joy your day

Snap! I was just wondering that; had a look on FB but as far as I can tell, she's not been on for a day or two. Mind you, I'm a technoklutz so could have that wrong.
I wondered if perhaps she's away for a day or two. That,or some sort of tech problem.

morning ladies It's chilly but the day should warm up.
I also was wondering where you were, OHH. Fingers and everything crossed you are back ASAP.
Not sure what's happening today, I know it will involve making the last bed lol. I've taken the Christmas tree down, early I know but our home is small, and we need the space. As I had to rest (sigh...) I went through the tree ornaments and replaced many of the loops used for hanging with silver metallic embroidery thread before packing away. Some of the ornaments are quite old and wouldn't survive another Christmas tree without the new loops.

Productive rest time KM
Bummer about your new router OHH
Our Xmas decorations will come down tomorrow we volunteered to pick up DD k9 and deliver him to his holiday accommodation so that will take us couple hours. DD and her family heading north of Taupo and delivering to dog would have added 2 hours to their travel time
DGS birthday today so will deliver presents on our way home
Cut out the ,lining for dress will sew that up to check fit before cutting into the good stuff.
Enjoy your day

Slightly cooler here too. Slept in a little with Madam on my chest lol
Looks like the wind has dropped a bit too. I had to ring the real estate agent for Maureen's house yesterday. When I got home the sign was down and the big gate was blowing, making a heck of a racket when it swung into the fence. He was a couple of hours away but must have come and locked the gate cos I didn't hear it through the night. Complicates things for the lawn people but that cant be helped.
Will get some lawn done today.. meant to be a beautiful day.
Will most likely take my tree etc down on Tuesday.
We were thinking about doing some Painting on Monday at the home, but apparently they have planned to do some potato painting, so we will help with that if they need us.
Have a good day everyone

Oh damn, what an utter pain in the proverbial.
But of course, on the plus side all of the work means that it will give you simply weeks & weeks of virtuousness where you can play online to your hearts content...
Mowed front lawn yesterday & managed a bit of weed clearance this morning; what an exciting life!
Although, we did go for a slightlly different walk this morning so we could look at more of the art in the park (hadn't seen the newer ones at the other end yet) which Madama le Dog seemed to appreciate....well, the walk & all the different stuff to snuffle at, rather than the art

Are you talking about North Hagley Park Lilith7, if so I used to take Stella there a lot, she used to love running through the standing water at high speed, at the end she would look like a dirty little tug boat from all the mud. I wonder if the standing water lay in a trough, a lower piece of ground, that was left over from this exhibition?

I think I can recognise some of the trees from that time.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

No, this is our local park. There's quite a bit of it they've used so whenever they put up new ones I like to have look; some of them are gorgeous.
One I saw this morning was a beautiful sunrise so went closer & it had just been done with a big paintbrush like one used for house painting & close up you can see that but it doesn't detract from the painting. I'd expected it to have been spray paint,at least when colours were merged so interesting to see how good it looked.
There was a lovely one there a while back,a sort of scene from a magical forest but some miserable sod nicked it. Which must have been difficult, it was fairly heavy & well attached to the posts.

morning ladies Typical Waikato, foggy as heck. A real pea souper too.
That person must have really wanted that painting, Lilith. What a fu**wit. Lucky you and your community to have such generous artists who are happy to share their work for all to enjoy. MrK's niece's wife used to use house painting brushes and test pots of Resenes paints when she began painting. Her work is stunning, it's almost like you are standing in the painting.
Yesterday I traced off a vintage border pattern I inherited before Christmas. It will involve some cutwork so more of a challenge. The trick will be trying to keep the lines straight as I transfer the design. I'm thinking tacking might be the way to go as this design is very precise.
The garden needs weeding again, will pick away at that over the next week. So frustrating not being able to do it over a couple of days.
Happy crafting

Its dull out. Meant to be fine. id like to get the back done today.. If not Im sure I will find something to do.
Id like to start doing my glory box.. Nuts at my age, but it would make my pantry more useable having all the extra stuff out of there.
Got quite a bit of painting done last night while Watching the Cricket.. It was a good game.
I think Davids Mum arrives today. Im hoping she has a bit of cheek and we can gang up on him lol... 6 woman against him should be fun.

Overcast at moment
Well yesterday's plans were aborted as shortly after I posted I became very unwell and was washed out for rest of the day. Dh had to do k9 delivery by himself.
All not lost finished crocheting my secret Santa present supposedly for beginners well thats me but it was very fiddly and I only managed as there were very good stitch by stitch tutorials on You Tube so my wee dog is finished minus eyes as the so called safety eyes were definitely not safe.
We can't really relax with the doors open as k9 fine until he decides to stalk the cat who sits just on other side of the fence. So we will gave to explore some netting options.
Having a rest while waiting for floors to dry then will have coffee with DH when he gets back
No plans for today
