But I hope the one about Nicola Willis is wrong - & the one about Trump, but hope the one about Zoi is true, & while I'd love to believe the final one, I doubt we'll get that lucky..

AFAIK we don't allow convicted criminals to enter NZ so the Trump one would come to naught.

I do believe that Winston Peters will have significant influence in events this year though. Apparently the Korean ferry deal isn't completely off the table as the exit penalties are still being negotiated. Enter Winston as minister of railways to reignite the iRex supply contract, solve the vessel impass and come out of it with the admiration of many NZers. Then basking in that glory he kicks the coalition to touch and uses his new found popularity to fuel his reelection efforts while it serves to dump on Seymour. He is the consummate political survivor and I can imagine such a strategy being in the realms of possibility and the perfect curtain drop on his political career.

That sounds possible if not extremely likely; Winnie is nothing if not a survivor.

And it would definitely be one hell of a note to end his political career on....
