More Trademe weirdness
#1
I have used TM for over twenty years. A lot. In all that time I have experienced maybe a couple of auction withdrawals after bidding on something.

So far this week I have had three. Bargains for sure, but I only bid on bargains, three in a row though is weird.

It's full moon and that often causes people to do weird shit.

We had an order for a clothing item on Wednesday morning. No payment followed but late yesterday the buyer emailed requesting her order be cancelled. She had been unable to pay due to not receiving the invoice with bank detail. She said that it was probably in her spam but seemed unable to access this. In the meantime she's placed an order with her 'seamstress' to get the garment made. WTF! If she'd contacted us we could have got the invoice to her and she would have received her order by now.

Another order came in two installments at 10:30pm and 3:15am Wednesday night. Took the rural option for both but still no payment has shown up. I'm not holding my breath on that customer completing.

In the last several months I've had trouble accepting fixed price offers. I click "Accept" on the notification and get taken to the original listing but the acceptance just vanishes. Mostly I can't be bothered pursuing it (so the seller loses a sale) but on occasions I've got it to work by going into "My Trademe", "Fixed Price Offers" and doing it that way. Then sometimes the original asking price comes up rather than the fixed price on offer. It's as if TM wants the process to collapse.

The full moon has been incredible this month, I have been moon bathing, so you might be right. It might actually be me attracting all this silliness. I am a bit cross though, typewriter number five went west and the retro handwriting book vanished, but the really sad one was the very old Royal Copenhagen creamer for a extremely silly price. I had that mentally filled with wildflowers and on my table - and it was very pretty. In my head.

Damn it, lol.
