I never signed up for the online stuff at any of my docs. I just don't trust the security of such platforms. If even the public health systems can be hacked, these commercially run versions are simply not to be trusted. I'd rather stick with the face to face...

I share your distrust. I've been using the online system with the intention of being a good citizen and not taking up any more of the GPs' time than necessary, as I know there are many in our community who are far more needy than I am. But when the system gets things so wrong so often I imagine it is using up way more resources than necessary.

Firstly... YAYAYAYAYAY approx. 6 months and Ill have my bits cut off... Dr was blown away with my weight loss. He said it wont be easy I said I know, last time was crap, but I am healthier, lighter, no diabetes, No husband to look after. I've never been better.
He was the same Surgeon that did Dianne's Breast removal lol.. He remembered her.. he said Two tough ladies , reckons we could be dangerous.. I said no reckon about it lol
Yes that fabric skirt does look like Old Japanese warriors I think. Its beautiful.
Our med center changed from Manage My Health to My Indici.. I can at least message my Dr on that. And running ok so far. But I cant find my previous history, or not far back anyway. I guess it will take a while before its sorted.
Now I will contact all my friends and tell them they can uncross their fingers now lol.. Im ever Happier lol...
They told me I couldn't, so I did.!!

I've never signed up for it either, & have no intention of doing so. Being a technoklutz means that I'd manage find some way to muck it up somehow. But it does sound as though its doing a fairly good of that anyway.
That's good news Popeye, hope it goes well.

Good Morning everyone
Cant quite see if its wet or dry out there lol. ( Its wet)..
Shoot I forgot to come on here last night with my news...
YAYAYAYAY Im having surgery.. The surgeon said to think about it. I said I've already done that lol. But he's willing to do it.
Funny tho, he was the same surgeon that did Dianne's breast removal. And yes he remembered her.. He said Two strong women, that could be dangerous.. I said No "Could" about it we are lol.
Waiting time about 6 months.. Im sure it will fly by.. And its smack in between all our birthdays so that works for me.
And we have planned a shopping day. 4 of us, all strong opinionated, but totally honest ladies who will make sure I have the best looking pair of jeans I can buy. I know if they dont look right , they will say so.
Bloods, the home and then Ill do my shopping today. Ill go to Pukekohe, since I have the gas and Ill save on the groceries.
Have a Wonderful day everyone.. I know I will be lol

morning ladies yep, we had rain off and on overnight.
Fantastic news, popeye Those six months will fly by.
Haircut for me today, it was supposed to be Wednesday, but my hairdresser had her kids starting school, so all appointments were shuffled around. I don't mind, am happy to fit in with her.
The Furry One hasn't had his bath yet, we must do that today. He will not be happy but needs must.
The receptionist at the doctor's surgery emailed my ECG yesterday, she couldn't explain why it wasn't sent. Can only assume it was because they were so busy with doctors on annual leave. If I hadn't checked though, it would never have been done. We were of the same mind, Olive, when MrK signed up for Manage My Health. Anything to lessen the load for our doctors. And we liked the idea of seeing his INR results and so on quickly. But so far, not so good.
Washing machine has finished, better get cracking.
Happy crafting

Good morning.
It's cloudy but we're in for another hot day.
No problem here with Manage My Health ... I find it's a good way to make appointments if needed.
Good news Popeye ... you'll be in surgery and out the other side in no time.
Yes KM, everything has been slow over the holiday period. DH only just heard back re Jury Service yesterday (an exemption) ... he was due in court next week and applied over a month ago (with doctor's cert).
Time to move, I'm minding GC this morning while parents at teacher/parent meetings.
Enjoy the day all

My hair appointment has been cancelled as my hairdresser is sick thanks to another client. I've spent another happy hour weeding, not much to do now. The garden is slowing down for autumN already. The Phlox and salvias have almost finished flowering.
Time for a cuppa while I rest. To be fair, I have been resting in between buckets of weeds.

morning ladies It's overcast so maybe we will have some more rain.
Just a bit more weeding to do then that will be it for now. I need to find a spot to put my favourite begonia, it has collapsed in its pot and needs to be in the garden.
Yesterday we bathed the Furry One He promptly rolled in dirt and his fur was filthy again with mud. He had the biggest grin on his face afterwards lol. This time of the year his skin itches like crazy. It's not fleas, could be the heat or some sort of allergy. He decided rolling on the carpet was a good idea and trying to sit on my lap while wet. I get the impression this was 'revenge' lol. It was worth it though as the medicated shampoo has stopped the itching and chewing.
Time to get the day started.

Could be the weather km. I notice changes in air pressure make my altered leg fatter or skinnier with fluid and that makes the skin feel different. One physio told me ionisation affects our body's systems, don't know how true that is, but something is certainly at work if a shoe fits one day but not the next, lol.
I was pulling weeds yesterday under the peach tree and came across the new bud of the naked lady lilies under there, so our Summer has changed over, Autumn is coming in. I plan to pull out the tumbling yellow cherry tomatoes from the raised bed and renew the soil mix in there ready for my winter greens, boy those tomatoes were a great option. I have a decent sized bag of free flow frozen whole ones stashed for adding to my one pot specials and a few small cubes of pasta sauces from them as well, plus they've kept my salads colourful for a good six weeks. So I'm thinking of just adding a red form next year instead of going for the sandwich size which weren't quite as productive. The heritage plants are flowering now so I have those to look forward to, we shall see if they are a healthier option than the modern reds which suffered again from blossom end rot despite all the tricks google suggested.
Every season is different in the garden, every year new learning.

Funny day in the Bay today - may get thunderstorms later - certainly warm enough and the air feels heavy
My neighbours moved out yesterday - their entire 59 years of marriage have been spent in this house - we grew up as neighbours when we were kids it was hilarious when I first moved in here and she came to introduce herself - neither of us had any idea where the other had ended up - he isn’t well and she is as fit as a fiddle but doesn’t drive so he decided they should sell up - she has a huge veggie garden that supplies the neighbourhood - during Gabrielle she was fantastic as she had a gas cooker so was up and down the street filling peoples flasks and cooking food that was quickly thawing .The buyers evidently own a cafe and have a dog so I hope it is a friendly canine that I can chat to over the fence - might even like to spend the occasional day with me
My DIL just brought be a big bag of greengage plums - they are a good plum to plant as a pollinator - it’s definitely been a good season for cherries and plums - a lot of spray has had to go on the apple orchards to prevent rot - apples won’t be cheap
Blanket is starting to look promising - it’s definitely my last

The blanket looks lovely Jan, love the colours.
Went for a long-ish walk earlier, both Madame Le Dog & I are slightly knackered so perhaps might have to find a shorter walk.
Sentry bird seems to have either given up or moved, or perhaps has met with a more sinister fate. But this morning there was another bird complaining loudly outside so looked out & sure enough, there was Madame Le Cat just sitting there looking the picture of innocence.
She was not pleased when I brought her inside.

lol OHH, I have one a day And I have a naked lady in flower
Those small tomatoes are great for snacks and I also chuck them into casseroles in the winter. Easy peasy to freeze too. We just throw them into a jimbos container and stack them up in the freezer.
The worst of the weeding is done, one small garden to do tomorrow and the end of the fenceline along the road. It won't take long to do.
Recycling has been done, time to have a wee rest and maybe do a bit more to this embroidery.

Today was a red letter day in my garden... I was sipping my second tea of the day when I heard a very familiar drone and went out onto the deck to see, and sure enough, there was a swarm of honey bees hovering over the end of the feijoa hedge just a few yards from my deck. So I watched as it sank slowly into the hedge and then went in under it to check and sure enough clusters of bees hanging from two main branches. I think they are resting, I hope they are because it is not a good choice for a wild hive, being too well maintained by contract hedge guys these days, but secretly I would so love to know the bees are blessing my gardens again.
I will be sitting on the deck for the rest of the day, on bee duty, lol...

Did you know OHH, that you can contact a local beehive owner (usually one listed online) and they will collect the swarm. I have done so a couple of times and rewarded with pots of honey each time
Lovely day here ... just pottering around after a beach walk earlier.
