My daughter had one of the ones that had sucker attachments to put on an inside window. I wondered if it would hold up but she assured me to held two of her felines with no worries. I did make heavy hints about sending me one, but with no luck, lol...

The lefthand side of our car is dented and bashed thanks to the driver who shot through a give way this morning. No one hurt thank goodness, but it means our car will be in the panelbeaters eventually. Thank goodness for insurance.

Glad you and MrK unhurt KM jolly inconvenient for you having car in panel beaters. You have long lead in time where you are. 4-6 weeks here.

No cream donuts the resident chef is in Vietnam  for 2 weeks so we had to make do with custard squares  with our coffees.

Looking at patterns for inspiration for next cot quilt

Glad that all ok KM.  Once you get over the shock, the annoyance sets in with the necessary insurance procedure and  then the lack of car Sad I was rear ended twice at the SH27/29 STOP intersection, each time from a different direction. Suspect phones being used in both cases.  Fortunately they gave details/their insurance paid out.

I know that stop well, roma lol. There have been countless accidents and dings there. Our panelbeater says we need a new rear wheel, two new doors and all the trim and a paint job. Estimates the cost to be around $3000. Thank goodness the guy who hit me has insurance so no fuss, no muss. And our panelbeater has a courtesy car we can borrow. We just have to wait for the people who are using it to return it and for our parts to arrive. He estimates he will need it for around 10 days.

The shock though km is nasty. Take care of yourselves.

I have been very naughty. A while back I started repainting my ancient kitchen - with permission - but held off the top coat because I couldn't decide how mad I wanted to go. Then today I found the Natural Paint Company offering test pots for a fiver each plus free postage. So I bought six, one of each in lovely deep pastels.

Now I have to decide on colour blocking, or stripes, or big dots, or maybe a rather lovely tartan. Much fun to be had!

Wow KM have a quiet day for both of you to get over it. Glad you weren't hurt, still be shaken tho.

Ohh Hunni I love the sound of all of them..

Wish I could paint here. The 3 shades of Tea in the lounge alone drives me nuts. I'd almost rather have new carpet tho. I know the dark grey is serviceable but its horrible to look at. New Curtains or blinds wouldn't go amiss either. There's not one set in the whole house that fills or works properly.

And I think they are meant to have a heat pump in before winter.. Time will tell.. Must look that up again.

Edit to add.. It has to have a heater heatpump by July 1st this year.... Ill be making sure it gets done.. Probably wont use it but they dont know that

I use mine about three or four times a year, but it gets serviced quarterly, lol, which is a pain cos I have to move stuff so the techs can get at the bloody thing. Still, it does warm the flat when it is really cold. I have been tempted to do a cooling thing some nights recently, but I have it turned off outside, and am too lazy to get up and go turn it back on just for a hour of cool air.

I have polished floors, so much easier, and healthier than carpet. Prettier too, despite the wear and tear!

And those colours are so yummy popeye, you'd love them.

I Think I would use the heat pump more in the summer..

I dont like an overly heated room, Much to madams disgust.. But I like Hotties in the winter and so does she lol

My kitchen, which I will say is the best one I've ever had is Also cream with a charcoal bench.

I have a large mat in the middle of the lounge which is black, grey and cream which sort of break things up.

My Ideal Kitchen would be an old fashioned one with small cupboards painted all in pretty candy pastels, with a coal range and also an electric oven. Not fussed if I have a dishwasher, although using the coal range would probably make the water too hot for a dishwasher anyway. I Absolutely Love my china drawer..

I have 3 wide drawers, the top one for utensil's, the next for china and the bottom for pots etc.

And my pantry is so big I can stand in it with the door shut. But its not a walk in one. It has a bottom step.

Davids house shocked me. For a house so old it has the standard tiny kitchen, it at most would be half the size of mine. All the rooms are small apart from the bathroom..

Oh it wasn't a mirror opposite a mirror that Dianne and I thought we saw in the photos. Its a small window.. So I couldn't freak him out about Portals..

come to think of it Im note sure what he thinks about ghosts and ghoulies.. Must find out.. He knows about my liking of criminals, like jack the ripper and then some of the more recent Badie's... I must show him my coffee table books..

Assassinations. 100 Most Infamous criminals etc etc... Im having a blonde moment cos I cant remember the name of the Cult leader at WACO..( it will come to me when I turn the lappy off Im sure) lol.  But Jeffery Drahmer is on the top too, he's the one that killed and ate or buried his male victims.

Im not sure why I like reading about criminals.. But I do lol

Lucky you're all OK, KM.Take it easy for a day or two..

Use ALL the colours Hunni; the world needs more colour, there's far too much grey.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

morning ladies Smile A fine day is on its way.

Can't wait to see pics of the finished paint job, OHH. I'm with everyone else, use all of them. I'd love my kitchen cupboards to be buttercup yellow with black and white tiles/vinyl on the floor. The retro kind with diamonds. Crisp white trim and maybe the walls, can't decide on the wall colour.

I'm going to divide some plants this morning and replant the 'spares' out on the roadside. The only one I can't divide just yet is the huge succulent as it is only beginning to flower. I love this succulent; it reminds me of coral growing as it has 'layers'. I must find out its name. Then a bit more work on the embroidery piece later this afternoon. I'm roughly about two thirds of the way through.

Happy crafting Smile

Morning everyone

Creaky this morning arghhh

I got the criminal book and started going through it. Im going to read one persons damage a day.. I was tempted to sit and read last night but Worked on the new picture instead.

Im doing a picture for my friends Birthday. The one with the nursery.. sunflowers with some other blue flowers in a blue vase. BUT OMG the darker colours are Shocking. I had 3 lights on last night.. No Black just alot of very similar dark greens and browns.. so Ill go back to doing those in the daytime. she will love it tho.

Mums heart was doing strange things yesterday so they decided to monitor it overnight.. Hopefully home today.. Dianne will go in if she comes home. Sarah will take the painting.

David was saying his pears are ready now and do I feel up to poaching some for Mum since she has been requesting them... Do I feel up to it ?.. Hell yes.. I miss preserving and Ill do anything to make Mum happy.

I also told him he could still have the fruit, and that Im happy to do the bottling etc , I can use sucryl since he is diabetic now.. I know he is time poor and I have plenty of it. And it makes me happy.

After a mess of a day for me, I cheered up last night. Ill go in on Friday. Everyone is promising a friendly time. And its Valentines day too lol.

I always wanted a red , white and Black kitchen.. Black and white tile floors and yes on the Diamond KM lol Snap.. white cupboards with red handles and a red backsplash. I've seen a few beautiful red backsplashes.. And A lot of my kitchen gear is red and white.

Have an awesome day

Denim blue with buttercup yellow, or sage green... depending on how much light you get in there.

Funny thing, I spotted some claw hair clasps on TM in exactly the colours I just bought, a handful of them for a start of $3. Meant to be seeing I broke my prettiest one yesterday. My hair is getting too long to put up easily in these things, I will have to lop off a few inches. These new ones are too pretty not to use.

My walls are already a soft sage green Smile Painted it right through the house after we took a wall and the dangerous fireplace out. I still love it. My sister is a 'Tea' person when it comes to colour. I asked her once if she was afraid of using colour and was snapped at Tongue lol. Love stirring things with her Tongue hmmmm might put some $$$ aside for paint... now to work on MrK

Well, it's Wednesday, so that's coffee and cake away from the awful droning of the plasters sanding walls in the fire damaged unit. They arrive at 7.30 and leave at 3, and we are so over tradies, can't wait to have that done and dusted. And we're hoping whoever comes into that unit isn't as strange as the previous fellow, but then again I am convinced we have to be a bit strange to end up in these little safe havens, so I shouldn't be so judgy.
I have put two more bags of peaches into the freezer, that makes eight I think, should keep me well supplied through the winter, and there's another two maybe three bags full ripening on the little table on the deck. This week I will prune the new growth back a bit to keep it in the shape that doesn't encourage the landlords to see it as a threat, but still lets me look after it and reap the golden rewards.

I was at the shop picking up a bruised pineapple for my wild birds - there was a big watermelon that’s had a knock so brought that home as well - can’t find anything online that I shouldn’t put it out for the birds - is it OK - would hate to make them sick - they go crazy over the pineapple especially the little wax eyes
