That's quite a distance from their last sighting over some pretty rugged country. A supporter taking the family out for a Sunday jaunt in their camo gear would be a pretty helpful tactic to blur the search area boundaries and he has plenty of local support for someone to be throwing a few red herrings about.

The bit that struck me was two adults and two children. Gave me a nasty feeling. Suspicious old woman that I am.

You have to wonder how much longer this can continue, especially if there's bad weather of the sort we've been getting lately, & there's the potential for accidents.
