Russia strikes Chernobyl reactor

Exclamation
This is getting ridiculous now.
I suspect Putin is trying to provoke Ukraine into giving up, does not appear to have had any explosives onboard the drone.

Between Putin & Trump, it seems unlikely that there's ever been a bigger threat to the entire world. Both of them need to be prevented from further harming the planet.

It looks like it might force europe to step up further to assist Ukraine as it turns out.
I see that Germany has just sent Ukraine a shipment of these new AI drones, but its going to need more than that to put an end.
What concerns me more about these so called peace talks is that Ukraine and europe for that matter appears to be largely kept out of it all.
Who knows what will come out of it, bit of a waiting game at this stage, Ukraine is under no obligation to accept any deal.

Yes, that seems bizzare. Having peace talks without the country most affected being involved is both pointless & an affront to Ukraine.

Trumpanzee is grifting with his trying for the Rare Earth Metals deal he is trying to set up, using it as a blackmail tool.

US blackmailed Ukraine in Munich: Either sign minerals deal or no meeting with US vice president

https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2025/02/17/7498755/

This is typical of his behaviour, playing off vital world events and decisions in order to make a buck, the worst free world leader possible.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

That's disgraceful. Trump should be removed immediately for an urgent psychiatric evaluation; that, or step down - which seems unlikely.

Who could have imagined that such a person could ever become president... Dodgy Angry

Totally agree. Trump is lacking in empathy and views every situation as an investment opportunity. The suggestions he's made in turning the war crime scene and historic homeland of Palestinians into a holiday resort with the existing population shipped off to somewhere out of sight is utterly disgusting.

I never ever thought I would see Russia and the US become allies. Just goes to show, Neil Armstrong was right when he said 'nothing is impossible'.

It will be interesting over coming months to watch how our politicians react to this puppet and his mega millionaire masters. Will they hold our independence close or sell that as well to Peter Thiel and his ilk?

Zelensky came out and essentially said its not even legal what Trump proposed, so at least he is not letting Trump take him for a fool.

Trump has just said that he, Zelenskyy, is a fool for getting involved in a war with Russia, looks as if Russia and USA are going to decide on Ukraine's fate and ignore Zelenskyy.

USA and Israel probably will ignore the Palestinians as well.

It does seem that Trump is extremely likely to be in the pocket - if not the pay - of the Russians. Surely, his wrong information is not simply down to ignorance; surely no one can be so blatantly ignorant.

I imagine that quite a few of those who voted for him are now wondering what the hell's going on. If he continues down this road then as its America, someone is very likely to perhaps take another pot shot at him...posibly someone with better aim.

This may turn out as a positive outcome if they successfully have been able to win Trump over, we might see something similar from Europe over Ukraine Im hoping.
Russia is on the brink of collapse right now so im expecting that we will see Ukraine pushing harder in Russia as they come into spring.
I dont think Zelensky is going to give into US demands right now.
