Has anyone had to deal with Microsoft customer support?

There doesnt even appear to be any support other than their AI answer phone that basically responds that we cant help you with your query.
I was having to sort out an account issue where someone was overcharged for office 365, in the end I sorted it out myself and turned out that the user had purchased a second subscription with a completley different microsoft account that I had to try and dig up from a multitude of email addresses, then reset the forgotten password.
Too bad if they were locked out of the account.

Found for quite some time ago, trying to get any actual Help From Microsoft Support is next to impossible.

Generally, if you look deep enough, you can find solutions online, sometimes it's a matter of rolling up the sleeves and digging.

Had similar with Office 365, one business I support the boss gave one of the employees the log in details to the account, so they could install Office, then they changed the password, as well as the recovery address, then later on a few months later left. So no one could get into Office, luckily in this case they only had a few months of the subscription left so it basically ran out. Just set up a new License /Details.

I had to cancel a credit card years ago because my son used it for an xbox account of his and subsequently lost the credentials for it.

I thought I would be clever and let the card expire the next month but no... they kept charging the account even though the expiry date they had was past... Apparently they can do that with subscriptions...

I actually found a way to get through and wait for someone to answer, but i gave up waiting after 20mins.
You have to select that you are a business customer regardless if you are or not and then say its an account issue or else they dont want to know.

Since billy returned from the kayman islands and his friend epstein, his company has become quite some bad sort of a dog.

Have been locked out of outlook and hotmail since 10 March 25. Daughter and Son who are both pretty bright could not get me back in.

Where does one go from here, there will be bills (excuse the pun) to pay etc.

Depending on how or why you have been locked out, there are several things you can try.  Have read of the following:  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, often requiring alternative emails, security codes to phones or answering questions which may or may not be known.  It all depends on why you have been locked out.

Just thinking I had a customer whom was locked out of Outlook, we got around it by trying their Office 365 login, ( same email and password) that actually let us in, ( surprised) we then changed the password there by sending a recovery to an alternative email - then Outlook let us back in. Office 365 login www.office.com/myaccount. Even if you don't have a office 365 it may let you in to change passwords just comes up you don't have a subscription.

As for Bills that need paying, if you can't get back in, the best suggestion is to contact the person /business that you know the bills are coming from and give them another email address, explain that you can't get into your email, to get to bills and most places will change to something you can.
 The good thing about it is that most companies record phone calls, so if you get hit with an overdue bill, you can say " I called and explained on {insert date}, so it's not my fault you didn't update your system."

Actually had that happen with Vodafone a few years back, I had queried several times an updated account - and when they screwed up I wrote back and told them to listen to the recordings as I had questioned it. They came back - They had screwed up, and I did question the low charges multiple times - got a years free internet

I remember having to call Microsoft to reactivate Windows XP a couple of times when a motherboard was replaced or such, that's about it. Never even bothered otherwise. Luckily I have no paid services with them. And never will.
