I wonder if their efforts to help families afford to have children will work The alternative might be immigrants.

I was watching this just last week about the situation in South Korea, and it looks like they are probably in a much worse situation than Japan.
But this problem is not just isolated to these countries, this trend is present everywhere to varying degrees.

That's quite scary. I wonder if we'll have the snese to try to fix the situation or just avoid doing anything.

This is what needs to happen all over the world, the population needs to drop by at least half, three quarters would be better.

Fingers crossed we manage to fix things in time - but we can be fairly stupid, so its chancy.
