I tend to agree that its likely to be slowish due to pollution rather than sudden, although that always remains a possibility.
I remember the old Brit series, The Survivors from I think, the 70s. We really are among the stupidest of species. And the cleverest.

That series has travelled quite well. I revisited it a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed it. Including the last season which I had missed...

I think I still have it somewhere, among the DVD collection. At the time it was first shown a friend & I had a tradition - Wednesday night, chocolate cake & The survivors...I must remind her of that, bet she's not thought of it for years.
