Can't wait to see pics of your new dog, Mica... hint... hint lol. I hope he settles well. I have no doubt the cat will sort things out promptly
Exactly Kiwimade.
About time Pak n Save caught up. First times Ive ever had something to queiry in a place that does that
morning ladies Wow, now that's a doozy of a frost! And to top it off, it's going to be a lovely day.
Awesome, mica. Sounds like he will fit in beautifully. Can't wait to see a pic
Once the frost has lifted the plan is to finish pruning the roses. The ground will be freezing but I might be able to weed as well. And we need to do the recycling. What an exciting life we lead lol.
The Furry One needs to pee lol but the frost is colllldddd, mum! Make it go away lol.
A frosty start ... showing on the house roofs around us! But nice to see sunshine and no wind.
Fantastic Mica, he sounds to be a good fit. I sometimes wonder about an older dog but would need to do our homework ... past taking on a problem dog ... our last one had a perfect nature!
The day looks good to be outside ... at last. Might be able to get concrete pots sealed amongst a good garden catch up.
Vest finished, yet another to knit ... nice and quick when my mind is on the job!
I dont miss having to mow lawns etc.. I loved doing them, didnt like "Having" to do them lol.
I dashed over to Pukekohe yesterday, they have a Sake.. " Go Figure" lol.. but I have been without my second crockpot for ages and they have a half price sale. So I got a small one again which will be in use today. I have a big amount of Venison to cook.
I will keep a small amount out for fry, its schnitzel according to the bag but some of it feels thick. The rest I will put in the crockpot with some beef stock and seasonings and see how it turns out. Im not bothered if it all pulls apart into the gravy, that will be perfect. Might put some tatties in too.
I have to pop up and get some bikkies for Madam later while they are cheap.
I will seal the pictures once the meat is on, I will do as many as time permits and how far 2.5 bottles will go.
Sounds like your new lad will fit in Mica.. I like chilled dogs, says she who had two holey terrors at the same time lol

That's excellent news re Mr K, KM, hope it happens soon.
Managed a bit more ivy triming & then dug up another clump of violets - the ones which somehow planted themselves under the clothes line - & moved them to along the not sunny side of the drive, with the others I have there.
I was feeling quite pleased with myself - until I went to bring in the washing & noticed a small patch I'd missed.
Dammit.

Excellent point
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
The chocky pud lost its sauce. I need to practise more, it is not like the one my Mum used to make. But it was worth the effort, and there are two in the freezer for future emergencies. Plus the big bit in the fridge. Never know when the need might arise.
And it didn't cure the bloody disc, so I shall take real drugs tonight.
I look forward to this winter of my discontent being over.
Oh Mica What a cutey... I think you should keep him too lol.
Kiwimade if you have time could you share the lemon pudding recipe pretty please?
Yes its late and I need to transfer the rest of the Very yummy meaty gravy into a bowl that will go in the fridge, then soak the bowl so I can make a choccie pudding tomorrow
Oddly the venison tastes just like the mince pies that I love from a shop here.
Will probably make my INR go crazy but I dont care. I have extra mashed tatties for a repeat tomorrow, and now I know I really like it, ill have a bigger serving lol..
Would be nice with fresh white bread and butter too lol
Its 11-40 Popeye get your jobs done and go to bed !!!!!!
It's back into the garden for me this morning. Weeding but the tiger lilies also need to be moved before they start growing. They are right where the fence will be repaired, and I don't want them crushed by the fencers. Better to move them now than when they are beginning to grow. I've found a spot in the garden for this season, and they can be moved back next year. The roses are all pruned except for a part of Crepuscule as I couldn't quite reach it. Oh well, it can go mad this summer
MrK isn't becoming quite so frustrated now he knows there is an end point to his hip saga. That's got to be good for both of us.
The birds need more lard pudding so will get onto that shortly. I hate the smell of the lard melting so all windows will be open for a bit.
Sea mist here too, and a slight chill to start the day. Tatty started scritching last night and I realised with all this flu and back business I have got out of step with her flea treatment so ordered Bravecto online, should be here by Tuesday going on past performance. I save thirty dollars going online instead of local, which is a nice fat lump to have saved. It is too warm here in Auckland over winters to kill the outside fleas off seasonally these days, so we need to keep to the dates for our babies. Specially for her as she gets flea allergy dermatitis and it is a trial for her. Part of having such a gloriously thick coat I suspect.
Thank you Kiwimade, I actually have a couple of her books so Ill see if its in there too. I like anything lemon and I have a tree full.
Im lucky with the DVS I dont have stale or smelly air. Its taken my nose this long to get used to it tho.
It was 1am before I settled down to sleep.. oops... I need to change that cos I hate late mornings.
My back is easing but I think I got a chill on Thursday there is still lung pain in one spot. I have Pansy lungs as I call them or Sookie lungs, they are sensitive to chills and I can pick it up early. So the Hotties are heated again...
Does anyone know where my other long one is? Ive put it somewhere safe.
I noticed yesterday my violets are flowering too, in two tubs now Yay...
The long row of daffodils on the way to Pukekohe are nearly halfway flowering, they are along a long fence line at the road edge. Soo pretty. They are always early, I wonder if its cos they get the sun all day.
Got four pictures sealed yesterday. Hopefully they are dry and I can paint the boarders today.
Mica Im hoping the adorable fur ball has a suitable name, how old is he?
