That'd work, so probably never happen, more's the pity...
I'd love to see political parties made to raise their funding by say, running cake stalls or similar. The smaller funds would show just how wonderful they are at budgeting. Or not...

Levy pharma? That'd be a bit of a backfire wouldn't it? Unless we want meds to be more expensive...
Levies do get passed on to the end user.

given the amount of lobbying that goes on, which presumably gets passed on to the consumers, will it really cost us any more?

Given the high social principles of the Greens in particular I can imagine they would be turning down funding from some of those industry sectors.
