Luxon defends election changes after Judith Collins raises problems

I'd like to think they might see sense, but if this idea is as it seems, likely to gain them more votes they'll stick with it. Very interesting that Judith Collins raised it though, when it's surely those groups who are possibly more likely to vote left.

"Judith Collins pointed out that the proposals were inconsistent with people's rights, & that 100,000 or more peopleĀ  could be directly or indirectly disenfranchised by rules banningĀ  enrolment in the final 13 days before an election, with younger people & Maori, Asian & Pasifika most likely to be affected."

Depriving young people who come of voting age with that period of the chance to vote for the first time. Pretty sure that's what this conservative very white government is intending. Probably ACT sponsored...

Yeah - funny that. All the really nasty stuff seems to originate from ACT.. Dodgy
