So pleased the sun is out, it makes Madam happy.

Had an early well 7-05 text this morning. David replying about Dianne. I said yeah its awesome but Im asleep catch up later lol.. I dont do early mornings in winter even if it isn't cold today. Im going to vacc when done on here.

Fanny rang late in the afternoon yesterday. She is disgusting me at the mo. She charges an older woman in a  rest home $30 for a trip to the same place she is going. And That really disgusts me.. And apparently she only gave her $20 and Fanny told her well there goes her Food money cos she HAS to pay the other $10 in gas.

I bit my tongue , and then had to bite it again cos she asked for something next time I do a temu order. I said Im not doing any for a while I want to save... she didn't take the hint so I changed the subject.

The lawn has been done, it takes them 18 minutes on a ride on.

My flowers arrived yesterday, I have to put the primrose heads on the stalks lol.. Ill do those today and stand them all in jars to relax a little, until I get the Oasis.

Have an awesome day everyone

Boundaries popeye, sometimes we need to mark them out.  Big Grin

I agree.

When it comes to temu she thinks its ok for others to do it for her. But I've said if Winz ever looks into my bank account they will see it and wont care if its her money etc.

She has another friend down there that she orders through too.  So its not like she will be stuck..

She knows how to use all the technology in her flash car that is a mobile drink cup container and stinks, she should be able to do orders on temu.

And as for the Older woman she is basically ripping off,   Its disgusting.  I found out a while ago before her hubby left if he wanted to go visit his parents, even tho it was "Thier" car she charged him gas.  I was floored when she told me that.

and yet she toddles off to church.....

some people, eh, popeye.

The sun is out and bird puddings hardening in the freezer.  The birds are not happy they have to wait lol but there is plenty of food around if they looked.  And soy sauce mixed with fresh lime juice is sitting on the bench waiting to go onto tonight's chook.  Thought it could marinade for a while.  There was a box of fresh limes out on the road in town for anyone to help themselves too.  Absolutely delicious and so fresh and tangy.

MrK's caregiver couldn't get here, and they offered us the lady who tried to get him into the bath and did nothing but stand around and talk.  Asked MrK (had phone on speaker so they heard) and he said, no, would rather go without than have THAT woman here.  The woman from the agency was stunned when I told her about this caregiver even though I had informed the company about her after she left.  Communication isn't the greatest with this company.

No thunder or lightening at all with that storm, mica.  Just lotttts of wind and rain.  The Furry One being slightly deaf now makes a huge difference for when we do have thunder though Smile

I'm taking a chance and washing woollies today.  They may have to hang over the bath if the sun disappears.

morning ladies Smile Fog, fog, and more fog...

Thanks for the link, mica Smile I'll save it and watch it later this afternoon after my sister-in-law has left. She's coming for lunch and fingers crossed she keeps her big dogs at home. Might flick her a text and ask her as MrK is too wobbly on his pins to have two big dogs racing around and the Furry One no longer tolerates younger dogs. She's bringing a photo album we leant to MrK's sister-in-law 30 years ago 'for a few days'. It's taken this long to get it back.

Better get organised and put the washing on. It is meant to be fine today, well, so they say.

Will look and see if anyone knows why the Helicopter was running around town for ages in the early evening.. By the size of the area Id say they were looking for someone. Makes a heck of a noise when its right overhead.

She was saying they belonged to her even though my mother-in-law had given them to us. She has taken a good chunk of the photos out of the album and kept them. Not going to make a fuss about it but it really pi**es me off.

i spent the morning at a school production, apparently they don't call thenm concerts now. It was interesting, mainly due to me not having actually seen one for ages & they're very different these days. My two eldest great grandsons were in it so granddaughter took me to se them. The eldest has shot up yet again, he's gaining on me & very pleased about it too.

By the time I got home I was exhausted, so won't be doing much more today, except a bit more fiddling about with a painting.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

People who cross our boundaries are everywhere and it is immensely frustrating dealing with their complete lack of self awareness.

That said, I have to confess, you guys were right. The beautiful braiser is too heavy for me, so I have listed it and with luck it will find a new home, and I will use the money to get something more appropriate from the range. To comfort myself I took the old slow cooker out from under the bench and made a really divine chuck steak chillified casserole which is perfect food for a nasty stormy day.

And I have started to embellish the pink jacket, first layer being pieces of patchworked silks which I have tacked into place across the collar and lapels with plans to continue that downone side of the back and front panel. With some three d additions in the form of suffock puffs and vintage buttons and who knows what comes out of my crazy head. And some of the stuff to refurb the hat have also arrived, so just as well the slow cooker has enough sustaining food to keep me fed from now till whenever. If anyone wants me I'll be here, surround by threads and slivers of fabric...

The vac will hate me.

Perhaps she could be persuaded to photocopy those for you, for the sake of grandchildren...

Sad its too heavy for you Hunnie.

I was told today our New world hasn't even got the largest cast iron piece of the Smeg cookware yet.. They are worth $400 each apparently.

I doubt Ill get enough stamps to get one since they are 45 stickers AND $60

Im guessing they wont get many at that price unless there is a return option for the store.

Oh Kiwimade that sucks re the photos. Id be asking for them so You could get them copied, then Give her the copies.. Tell her you will do the copying to save her money, but not that she wont be getting the originals back.

I admit to having my Mother in laws cookbook by a bit of deception. It was given to me, but I thought that it should go to the Eldest son, and all I got was Ohh I cant understand the recipes and it was shoved in a drawer.. So I "borrowed" it back over 25 years ago. I have no intention of giving it back..

I will give it to MrPs niece who I know will treasure it.

Lilith I remember when my sisters eldest son out "talled" me. He was 11... and he thought it was sooo funny.. Hes 6'5" now lol. I also told him at that age he would become a chef, I saw him playing with food on the BBQ and thought he had a flair... He is an executive chef now.

Special of the day was 4 meals of two gurnard fillets each for $10-43, so $2-60 per meal. They're not massive cos gurnard never is but two fillets per meal is good and no waste.

So tonight I had a piece of Orange Roughy. Haven't had that in years and it was huge , thick and blimmin yummy lol..

Will get a price to send a birthday pressie using TM now and then back to painting.
