What about this FBI branch office then?

Part of Five Eyes, we're told. Good to stop international crookery and drug trade, helping out Interpol...

Except it smacks way too much of tightening ties with a nation exhibiting all the signs of failure to me.

And didn't we get a bit exercised when China was revealed to be opening its little corner store police stations all over the world? How exactly is this any different?

Did get Mr Patel out of reach for more Epstein file attention though, didn't it? Sneaky bastards.

Given their govt & many of its actions recently, an FBI office here isn't likely to be the world's best idea. Dodgy

We should have become a neutral country decdes ago.

We should form a Southern Hemisphere bloc. And put border control stations on the Equator...

No, I'm not serious, lol...

so for the FBI agents, will this be a prime posting or something akin to being sent to Alaska
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

Or a reward for bowing deeply, if my Americans attitude to NZ is anything to go by.

We don't know how lucky we are.

Funny thing, my ex pat Brit Seattle friend suggested we do exactly that. And follow it up by a mass press corps front up asking about the release date for the Epstein/Trump files...

On the same strategy it must be time to update the shopping lists then? Scotch instead of Bourbon, Barossa instead of Napa Valley wines, RM Williams jeans instead of Wrangler/Levis, HealthPost instead of iHerb, Triumph rather than Harley, and take note of the country of origin in the produce aisle. Vote with your wallets by boycotting US products Kiwis.

The US is also the last country on Earth I'd consider visiting in the foreseeable future. A toxic culture with real threat of personal harm if you question their politics publicly.

Can't see it myself. But I sure can see the self confessed rapey president being on it.
