morning ladies Smile The sun is out but it's freezing, our high according to the weather gurus will be 12.

Nothing planned for today, just hanging out. I didn't get to smash some concrete yesterday and seeing as it will be cold today, I'll do some this morning.

Our fencing friend will put two posts in next week for us and the other six when we have saved more. Two will fix the worst part and I can then move the azaleas to where they need to be. Perfect timing for Gertrude Jeckyl as I will be able to bend her canes away from the fence before she starts her mad spring growth. But if I have to cut her to ground level, then so be it.

Coffee is finished and MrK needs help.

Morning everyone

It doesn't know what it is doing out there.

Oddly last night it got really warm, I kicked the hottie and the blanket off while watching tv. Its not too bad at the Mo. madam has just come and hopped on my legs in disgust cos its raining and dull again lol.

I've packed the useless lappy up, but haven't told Missy Im going out again.

The truck company wasn't happy when I rang, and probably more so that I had taken the number plate and truck number down. Rang the council and I couldn't wait the 15 plus minutes, especially when Im paying to talk to them Ill ring again next week.

Dianne has a new phone case and its beautiful. Plenty of card spots and a coin purse and handle on it. Less than my $20 cheapie so Ill be putting one in my cart to get next week. And heaps of colours, hers is teal of course. She is teal and Black, Im red and white lol.

Ill put my flowers in the vase later once I've taken the knife to the oasis. That should be fun.

Have a fab day all... My last day out, Im over it lol

The little birds have sculpted the apple into that cartoon shape almost all hollowed out, so I shall have to replace it today. They do not waste a teeny bit it is almost down to skin and bones.

And when I was at the window admiring our naked London Plane trees I spotted the rosella family feasting on the seed pods, and arguing the point with each other before abandoning ship in a flight when the wet started in again. Three more weeks till Spring, bet they are looking forward to it to.

Oh! And my first tiny petticoat daff is out, and a purple tulip about to open in the big pot. Should spark up the oranges and reds nicely...

I remembered something I meant to tell you. Might make you smile. You know how my daughter got that massive overpriced gas guzzling shiny black thing for her birthday? Her husband has a birthday this month too, so what's he getting? A vasectomy.

She's something, that girl of mine, lol.

I think that is an awesome way of making sure they dont grow out of  the  "massive overpriced gas guzzling shiny black thing "   lol...  wise girl your Daughter lol.

Well after some strong talking, to the extent that they tripped themselves up I got my money back... And thanks to the pushy salesman in the computer area they didn't get my money again.  He was pushing for a bigger sale and that doesn't wash with me.

So I went and had a look in the warehouse and didn't have quite enough for a Lenovo. So Ill save and add to it. So long as this one holds on Maybe they will be cheaper around Christmas or New Year for the school sales.

It wont be got from Hardly NEVER Normal thats for sure.

Missy is glad Im home and that the sun is out again.  Time to do my games and finish my rather late lunch

Oh, I DO like her style! Excellemt idea, too. Rolleyes

Still having a cull of paintings, quite surprised that there are quite a few which are slightly weird, with little things hidden in them. Mostly cats but the odd dead bird features once or twice, all very very small so not noticed unless you zoom in. If I remember rightly there's a horse in one which is inside a house somewhere in an older one which has a few other little bits semi  hidden, & which youngest grandson spotted almost straight away when no one else did.

Freezing again here & raining so no outside stuff happening, apart from early but short walk due to the rain.

The Tatty has come out of hiding, talking up a storm, and had demolished a full pack of the food she usually isn't that impressed by - complete with a dose of the meds the vets prescribed. Still not right, that back leg still misbehaving and causing her grief, but she is obviously recovering now. Which is a huge load off my mind. Until next time...

Poor wee cat, that's a relief though, that she's a bit better.

Oh, I love your daughter's style, OHH lol.

Chicken pie is made from left over roast chook for dinner and it looks great.

The concrete was too thick for me to break up, so I'll have to think of a Plan B to get rid of it.

Glad Madam has come out of hiding.. Funny when they will eat something they would normally turn there little felted noses up at.

My madam is hooning around the place,, cat nip in the treat bikkies.. So I figure tomorrow will be a slow one. With that Feel sorry for me Mummy look on her face...

Need to check I have everything I need to make a lemon meringue pie for Paul, then he can pick that up on Monday and the extra stickers Dianne needs for the larger baker at New World.

Will have extras if any of you need them. 14 spare I think.

The hottie on my back has done the trick. Will go and see what i can have with the lamb chop I got out this morning. Might give it a quick coating of crumbs and cross my fingers they stick. I normally do it ahead of time but I dont like wasting an whole egg for one chop either lol.

Power bill came in $181 eeekkk but I still have over $200 credit so thats ok.

Perhaps a tractor to lift it and drop it on another piece and hopefully break both at the same time?

Or hire it out to a couple of younger dudes for a box of bottles or cans.

The amount of work that gets done up here for "A Box" is amazing lol.

Paving stones km... in the middle of wider beds. Useful stepping places.

I love my daughter's style too, though I have to admit she can be a little TOO like her mumma...  Big Grin

I made bacon and mushroom penne, and was too hungry to wait till the tv news. That'll learn me to forget to have lunch. It was yum though.

And popeye? My power bill - $135. Of which only the 35 was actual energy.

Mine will have part usage of the stupid heat pump. I must have a look and see what is what on it. I admit to just looking at the email rather than the full bill.

I like the idea of the paving stones too. or some under the outside taps etc too. or where the downpies from the roof run.

I have deep holes where the rain falls and flows off the house. But I dont go around there so not too worried about it.. if it was mine tho it wouldn't be like that.

I put the chop in the fridge. I didnt have lunch till 2pmish so not hungry. Ive had a banana and a bit of the slice I ahve left

morning ladies Smile I don't mind the cold if we have stunning days like this.

We have enough of the concrete pieces as paving stones throughout the garden, these are the 'leftovers'. I managed to break one but there are four to go. MrK suggested talking to our friend who does the pruning and see if he could dump them for us. It can be added to his bill if he can do it Tongue

The Furry One has lost another friend Sad The farm dog who loved to have conversations with the Furry One as his owner drove up our road with him on the back of the ute, has died. He is so confused. Whenever the ute comes by, he is looking for his mate. That's three of his friends now gone Sad We are also devastated for our neighbour, he was an awesome dog.

This morning the bird puddings will need to be replaced. Those little birds can eat! And some of them are becoming quite tubby. A few years ago, our garden center had to cut back on the bird feeders as some of the sparrows were becoming so fat, they couldn't fly. Last winter we had around 40 waxeyes visiting the feeder, this year we have six. I hope this isn't a sign of dwindling numbers.

It must be cold, the Furry One isn't bugging me to do the garden 'rounds' lol.

It must be a lean time for the little birds though, I am sure our contributions save lives, if only a few. The cartoon apple has now become a withered ghost, so I'll definitely be replacing that today. I also notice the window I cleaned on Wednesday is a mess of wipe marks, where the sun hits it, so those need a redo. But today, library and vegie shop have priority. Might get an orange or two for the feathery ones...

Tatty hasn't got off the chair since yesterday, so she is having breakfast in bed. I am hoping the more anti inflammatories I can get into her the better. Back to the vet tomorrow I think, if I can get her into the carrier without hurting her too much. We shall see.

Morning all
Freezing stiff breeze, periodic heavy rain again today I am staying indoors.

Memorial was nice and I think my friend would be pleased with how her kids stepped up  to organise it none of them live locally.

DD invited us all to hers for dinner last night so Miss DGD2 got another  cake it was a rainbow  cake. DIL used Woolworths brand gluten free cake mix as the base. It had good texture and tasted  fine the colouring looked stunning when it was cut.
Sorry your Tatty still has some discomfort try lifting her in a blanket  to move her.

Indoors day today will get unicorn fleece robe finished the might be enough  fabric to make a matching one for dolly

The k9 has turned into a lap dog which is mutually beneficial during this antarctic weather.

Enjoy your day

Morning everyone

Its beautiful out there.

The washing is on and will be hung out when I've had breakfast..

My head is go go go today, the body badly complaining, too many times in the car etc, well more the getting in and out.. but I have a list of things I want to get done.

I've decided to bubble wrap the louver windows in the bathroom. Will still get a bit of light in them and cardboard would just make it too dark.

I ordered some motion sensor led lights from temu last night. So I can put up to 3 in the bathroom if needed and not have to turn the light on that sucks any sense of warmth from the room. Have also needed one in the hall cos the light switch is at the other end of it.. and one for the Garage too.
USB chargeable and $16 for 6 is good value. All a foot long.

My splurge was a new phone case. Dianne got one and its beautiful Has a clip open section for up to 8 cards I think it was, a zip coin purse and the phone part. Hers of course is a pretty teal green and mine is red. The carved designs on the front are different, mine is like a sun. And it has a handle too which is handy. $5 cheaper than the plain pink one I got here.

Ohh the power bill was $45 for the fixed daily charges which I think is rather cheap the rest is power. Hopefully with the change of rooms next winter and wrapped windows etc it will be better. And Ill increase my AP a little to help cover it.

As Mica said Hunnie picking Madam up in the blanket might be the easiest way to do it. Poor girl.

My madam isn't rushing around today, after all her excitement last night. Shes in the sun and Happy that Im home. Been a big week for her. And I dont enjoy going out 4 days in a row either really.

Have a wonderful day everyone

Yes, the blanket trick works if the carrier is the lidded style but unfortunately mine has a front gate, so a bit more complicated, but that is an issue for tomorrow. So far she is well fed and sleeping comfortably so that is a step in the right direction...
Reply
OHH depends on how big your gate opening is, try setting cage up so that you can lower her in close door then gently lower it down the right orientation. Seen this done at vet clinic.

It's pretty small but I am sure there is a way. Meantime I have been summoned to attend the patient, much stroking is required, preferably up close and leanable. I am deliberately taking all these signs as positives.

Bloody cats, and dogs, lol they are so tied into our hearts.
