We have a confirmed diagnosis of CIDP, with the single limb variation, but I have been told that may degenerate and affect her other leg. She is now in remission till the next episode, when that happens we need to decide on more aggressive treatment - steroids, or the alternative. So long as she is happy, moving more easily, and not needing hands on care I am taking each day as it comes. Roll on summer. The whole business was really stressful, especially when her guts reacted badly to the meds... That was nearly the end, but she's using the litterbox and eating properly, and is back to be a close companion again so that's lovely.

All digits crossed for it to last for a nice long time...

As for me, I missed you all a lot.

Oddly I just saw a post on FB that said something  to the effect of, Imagine if there was no more internet, People at our age would be the only ones who know how to cope.

Well they didnt see us a few days ago lol...  It was Horrible.

morning ladies! What a gorgeous sunrise we have this morning. It's good to be back Smile

Nothing new or exciting happening today. A nurse is coming to assess MrK for more permanent personal care. Apparently long term personal care comes out of another budget. Who knew. We thought all personal care funding was in one pot. MrK is walking a bit more now and yesterday started the exercises for the first time. His sister (a retired nurse) also told him (in a much gentler way than I did) that he had to do it.

I'm at the cutting stage of the hardanger I'm working on so almost finished. If it rains, I'll be doing that.

There is always the usual weeding to do but the ground is pretty cold after the last couple of days.

The birds have all lined up on the fence waiting for their bird puddings. They can stare straight into the kitchen lol. Better go and do it. Mind you, some of those sparrows are looking quite tubby. It's almost time to cut back and eventually stop their food anyway.

Have a good day Smile

Morning everyone

Its a bit damp here, was a comfortable temp last night. For a change.

I ended up on TM last night. Its ages since I looked at the $1 reserves, it was interesting to see what people are putting up with a huge risk.

4 more sleeps until we go to Thames.. I wrote down the addresses of the shops, soo many on the main street.. but Oddly there is a street I have never heard of, which is really random. I dont recall if its always been there but its not anywhere in my memory. Thankfully the St Johns shop is on the corner and another one on it so it wont be hard to find. Will pass it on the way to the recycle shop at the dump.

I will show Gayle where my grandparents house is. and where ours was. If its fine we might pop up to the cemetary, but we will see how we go.

Madam is in the bedroom sulking cos Mummy growled her. She hooked my hand with a claw and Im bleeding a lot these days. it was a spitefull whack, not an accident.

Have a fab day all.... Glad to be back but knowing us we will still chat on FB too lol..

I put the first and very uneven copper spray on my peach tree yesterday, I'll do a second in a few weeks when I see the buds swelling. The Tatt has discovered the laptop stays warm overnight so between her two hourly checks on me she is toasting her undercarriage on the old HP. One way to make use of resources I suppose. I could do without the two hourly cold nose down my own warm bits though...

Still, summer is coming, that will help us both sleep better. Till it gets too hot again, lol...

There is an international movement in its early days, nominating August 31st as a no internet day. I am considering the benefits of taking part, but a little wary of the lesson it might teach me, lol. Sometimes it is better to live in denial...

If it was to vanish permanently, our generation would perhaps recover more quickly than others - but I don't relish the prospect one little bit! Rolleyes

I agree Hunnie and Lilith, I wouldn't like it, but perhaps we would adjust better than the younger ones.

Its funny all my school friends who are turning 60 this year are looking forward to getting our Gold cards lol.. I had one for a while.

For me it will mean being able to go meet family that will be the best, and I wont lose my income lol.

Boring stuff, dishes and rubbish bins done. Half a load of washing and I've decided to leave it till its full.

And Ive written down my books and in the end took photos of the collections I have. I already have a few double ups of my fave, I dont need triples lol. So long as I remember the notebook I wrote them in lol..

And I managed to trim the claws.. must admit she is improving a lot and Im getting so fast. She likes to play with the clippers afterwards so she copes.

Lunchtime and games now

Play with her paws popeye. Give her foot massages. Once she gets used to that it is a lot easier to get out the clippers and take the tips off. Just don't take too much off because it hurts them and they never forget, lol...
