Android Issue
#1
I have a Samsung tablet using the Google Chrome browser.
I must have inadvertently change something.
If I am browsing an internet page, then open another, the previous page/tab will remain open.
They just keep staking up and I have to manually close them.
I have looked for a solution online, but most seem to be for pc versions.
This involves making a change in the browser settings, but this option is not shown in my Android version.

Any help or advice please ?

With mine, closing an open tab is simply a matter of tapping the x on the tab at the top of the page. Having them open means I can access pages as fast as I can close them...

Previously this one would open a new favorite in the same tab, now it opens a new tab each time.
Something has changed.

Dont have a Samsung, but on my Lenovo Tablet, opening Chrome there are 3 dots top right to open settings. You can also open settings by tapping on your account name again top right.  There was a problem with chrome opening tabs and a workaround was to go into your account, and disable the sync between devices. Apparently, if enabled, and you had more than one device ( same account) the tabs synced as well. Meaning open in ph x3 synced and opened in Tablet x3

Something else to try, several options ( for Tablet)  https://www.safewiper.com/blog/how-to-st...droid.html

Thanks for the help, guys.
Except from disabling JavaScript, I had already done all the other things.
I guess I'll just have to live with it.

I opened up those three dots and noticed two options, one of which was add new tab to group...

I had never noticed that before.
