Whilst we fall backwards into the past.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

literally blink and youll miss it. cripes. imagine if we had those here, just need decent ramps in picton and wellington, and fly the thing across, no need for rail ferries.

Oh wow! Yes, we could definitely use those here. Imagine being able to get from one end of the country to the other so quickly.
Naturally, our brilliant govt will be setting this up immediately... or something.

Travelled from Suzhou to Shanghai return by high speed rail when we were visiting China a few years back. 302km/h and decked out like a plane's cabin, but what was really gobsmacking was when we met another one going the other way with just a couple of metres between us. That definitely takes your breath away!

We don't have the population, or the population density, to make such things economical to build, here.
I do have other cameras!

For which I am very grateful. Being such a small population, and situated on the edge of the planet, comes with an awful lot of advantages, that we really do not appreciate until we go somewhere really infested with people. That was one of the lessons I brought home with me from New York.
Incredible city. Wouldn't want to live there. Way too many people, too few trees.
