You can never have enough...
Good morning everyone

Yeah this early stuff has to be bad for you lol.. But at least when we change for Daylight savings it wont be so early.

Bloods and shopping today. Dianne is coming with me Woohoo... She has never been to the Junktion, so we will go there after we have done our bloods. its been running for many years, its odd to me to have never been there.. Ill call her a Junktion Virgin lol.

Then we will go to Pukekohe and look at another oppy we haven't been into.. On the Egg Beater Mission. You can of course buy new ones but they can be very expensive.

Sorted my china cupboards yesterday, put the fancy catering plates together, moved the red dinnerset up and Ill use the white one for a while. Ive always loved china lol

Have a good day everyone

lol OHH, yes, MrK did enjoy yesterday's episode of Emmerdale.  I hear this storyline is going to become darker as days go on.

My sister-in-law is popping in this afternoon so might do a bit of baking.  We have a ton of lemons so a Madeira loaf will be in order.

Popeye, the fish and chip shop we go to in Thames is at the wharf near(ish) the entrance to town.  Where all the boats are in dry dock.  There's a little fish and chip shop and a cafe next to it with seating for you to enjoy your meal.  They also sell fresh fish.

Not much else is happening in our neck of the woods, just plodding along Smile

Thank you Kiwimade.. I used to play at the wharf as a kid. We lived just across the road from it on Grey Street. Our house and the pub on the corner were taken down many years ago. Cool we will go there on the next trip.

We used to walk around through the mangroves there was a massive log we sat on and solved the worlds problems. Went under the wharf if we were daring, it wasn't often cos I dont like slippery ground. And caught many an eel from the Wharf..

My brother brought me a radio home from one of his overseas trips in the Navy and I could pick up the ship to shore radios. I was soo excited lol.

Tenancy inspection this morning, not really an issue seeing I have been here so long the community manager knows all boxes are ticked. I am tempted to paint the front door bright orange one day just to see her face...

While the tech was here yesterday, finding nothing wrong with the roof (?!?), he moved one of the stored bags from the high cupboard and I noticed one of the white sheets inside has water marks. Either I missed it or it has happened since the last leak episode, so that bag is coming down to get sorted today. That sheet set is a rather nice Sanderson one I use in the summer so it is worth getting the stain out. And I'll check the other things in that bag just in case. Other than that little job my day is clear so I might go on with the wardrobe sort out, all these spring flowers are tempting me to think about the change in season...

Fine windy but can see some big dark clouds rolling in

My morning at warehouse the demand for the packs isxever increasing, good that we can supply the needs for pepi for first 18 months  but sad that there is that need. The midwives and social workers that place the orders say many recipients just cry when they receive their packs.

Then supermarket run  thinking of making a tiramasu  for dessert for tomorrow night dinner we have friends in for dinner.

Enjoy your day

Im a very slow learner, I got there early so thought I would help out by setting up the tables and chairs,, Sore now of course but I've taken a pain pill, got my unfave perfume on and hotties in place.

But I won 6 lines and two houses so the choccie stash has had a boost.

Totally understand the terrier Love when you get home. We had two so we learnt quickly to just stand and let them get it over and done with lol.  Don't think we tried our dogs on peanut butter... some of them arent good for them now either, its a newish thing, but I cant remember what brand.

Made my toad in the whole finally Ohhh yummy... And a repeat for tomorrow.

Split Enz is getting back together. Oh I wish my Eldest brother was still alive, he loved them..  And now the Police are having a hissy over royalties for their music.

Lilith how many birthdays do you do a year? It must be alot.  July August and November are out busiest months.

17! Three kids, six grandkids, six great grandkids & two DIL's...

None in January, April,June or October thankfully, but 5 in May,2 in Feb,1 in March,3 in july, 1 in August, 2 in September, 2 in November & 1 in December.
Both DIl's are in November, Eldest granddaughter in December so have quite a few just before Xmas to do.

Had another go at weeding out the back where the tomatoes & beans will go, making progress slowly & gave the compost a bit of  a dig while I was at it.  Still loads to do but slowly does it.

There is nothing in this world like a Jack Russell greeting when you come home lol.  OMG you would think we had been gone for weeks.  And he is like this everytime we go out Heart  Our boy hates water, so water games aren't fun for him, and he hates peanut butter too.  We tried those peanut butter treats and nope, wouldn't have a bar of them.

MrK is catching up with Emmerdale (he loves it, I hate it lol) on demand so I might work a bit on this cross stitch.

Mr K and I share that unfortunate addiction. I bet he was pleased with today's episode! I watch it every morning right after catching up with my social media communities, on my laptop so I don't have to put up with ads, lol...

I was addicted to Eastenders years ago, but when it moved to Sky TV my Scots ancestry wouldn't allow me to get Sky just to continue.  Rolleyes
Quite pleased that I managed to break that addiction too.

I gave up on Coro when it started to follow disease of the week storylines. Only took a week or so to stop missing it. Emmerdale is so silly at times but the characters are easier to like or dislike. More boringly ordinary, if you ignore the obligatory but ever changing psychopath that features every year...

And I like the stone houses in the village. I am deeply addicted to house porn. Probably because I live in a mousehole!

Wow Lillith no wonder you start straight away each year. But Im really glad you buy books.. That's what I used to buy too.

Dianne and I had an awesome day. She loved her Hat.. apparently it will be about week 3 when her hair will start coming out. She went to a so called wig place after we got home but I just heard, the woman only had strips of hair no actual wigs for her to try on.. That was a waste of time,

She loved the Junktion but like me she loves the older stuff thats not for sale. I got a few things.. In town I got a Metal woven woman, which I will put on the white table its black. And Dianne got me a Black Sconce and the red candles I got from temu and they were smaller than what I thought fit perfectly. Managed to find a sound of Music DVD so now I can sing along while I paint.

Also managed to get more Mugs for Gayles David, so he will be a happy Chappy. Ran into the lady who takes the knitting at the rest home she's also a double boobless cancer survivor so it was a good catch up.

Im weary tonight late nights and early mornings. Ill take the mugs up tomorrow cos Gayle will be there.

The storylines are very similar in Coro and Emmerdale now.

I too love the houses..

They have pleased me when it comes to Victoria Sugden.. Too me she is modelled On Annie Very well.  I Like Marlon cos he can be a dick at times.

And the sooner they get rid of Arrons other half the happier I will be.. And I hope its Arron that does away with him.

I got a bit of a shock today , well 3 times actually. lol.. Firstly the lady at the lab said Im getting smaller every time she sees me.. second time was a robot in one of the oppies, I turned it on and it started loudly yapping in Japanese or Chinese, gave me a hell of a fright.. And then I took my dress off to get something warmer on when I was home and I do look smaller. Gave me a shock, I guess cos I wear loose clothes I dont notice it so much. but I was in tights with a shorter top on..

Need to get a battery for the scales.

morning ladies Smile I think we are in for a lovely day.

The Furry One goes back to the vet today to make sure the steroids are doing the trick. We will have a plan to wean him off the steroids before we leave. And MrK has a 'script to pick up and have filled. Other than that, it's the usual household stuff.

We caught up on all the family news and gossip yesterday when my sister-in-law visited. We thought we would be smart and dig the rose 'Legacy' out for another sister-in-law but nope, the darned thing is growing under a huge tree root from the tree that fell on the house. It's stuck there. When they ground the tree trunk, large roots were left behind to rot and obviously this one isn't going anywhere soon. It's the tree that just keeps on giving. So, I need a Cunning Plan B if Litchfield Angel is to grace our garden with her presence.

The Furry One needs his steroid meds, this is going to be fun lol. He wised up to these meds years ago.

Have a good day Smile

Morning everyone

Looks like another stunning day ahead.

Ill be delivering the coffee mugs this morning, then I have an appointment at noon. Since we didn't get to the Warehouse yesterday I think Ill nip over and see if I can get a black cardigan.

Then hopefully Ill have a quiet week ahead. I dont like being out every day and neither does Madam.

Dianne and I were talking last night, she has invited me to go to chemo with her next week. Its an early start. and she typed on her phone we will get Tucky on the way home.. Only the predictive text put Lucky.. Which then included a norty F word with a Y on it... Which Progressed to me saying, singing "I should be so Lucky fy Tucky" so from now on it will be LFT instead of KFC lol,, she said your going to be singing that in your head for hours.. She was right lol...

Turns out we both like people watching too lol... We were definitely meant to meet.

Have a wonderful day everyone

Popeye, I have a system for the great grandkids; they each get a book, a toy & an item of clothing. And if they have a sibling, then they get an 'unbirthday present' which is invariably a book.

I have to keep a notebook of who has which books so as not to duplicate, & make sure each family has a copy of Badjelly the witch, Walter the farting dog & Mog the forgetful cat, because they're so good. Smile

Zipped out early, went to library & came out with just the two books I intended to get, then supermarket for potting mix & one of those fluffy dusters for high bits, had a coffee & then did a bit more digging out the back so feeling ever so virtuous now.

Talking about soaps & other things such as movies, books etc made me realise the answer to the question 'what do humans love more than asnything' is - stories.

Friday funnies,Minder & Blackadder bits.

I too did a library run, got side tracked into lunch, then supermarketed to grab Iams on special for her royally spoiltness, $19 instead of $25, that makes the trip worth it. Scored a pack of fabric paints from a friend so I can put some mad splodges on a couple of white pillowcases to go with my gorgeous duvet cover, I am so enjoying that pretty bit of madness, another TM bargain win!
Reply
I love your splodgy duvet cover if it is the one in the photo the other day Hunnie.

I haven't looked at it yet but I got a flat, fitted and two pillow cases in Guess which colour... yep Red yesterday for $7. lol.

Soo ok none of us are wearing black cardies for a while. None on The Warehouse or Postie... unfortunately tho I did come home with several pair of pants and jeans.. I think 5.. but at $4-97 I wasn't leaving them there.. Cant get a zip for that probably. Its been a while since I brought one lol.. a couple of light but long sleeved white tops, same price. Then I went to Postie and no cardies there but I got two pretty dress, one pink and white gingham with an elastic top and straps and an olive green sleeveless with a v neck.

Bonus were Missy's treats which she hasn't had in a very long time and her treat bikkies which were both on good specials too.

Now I shouldn't need anything until shopping day unless I run out of something for lunch but I can always make scones etc anyway.

Ill try my pants and jeans on later.. I hope they aren't too big. I saw some bib front Dungarees in the warehouse. I Sooo want a pair of those, but like getting a new demim Jacket they will have to wait. but I will oneday
