OMG Hunnie are you ok?

Ask me tomorrow, when the after effects of riding an up turned scoot reveal themselves. For those not on farcebook, the scoot slid sideways on some agapathus leaves and tipped over with me onboard, slowly, thank heavens. Highly impressed with myself being able to get to my feet without help and the lift the big blue beast back onto her wheels. Might be a bit sore tomrrow though. Scoot seems okay after her tumble. Even the quietest life can get exciting at the drop of a hat...

You know that Harleys don't have a throttle? They have a volume control...

I normally like the sound of a good motorbike. But I think it was only loud cos their house is down behind houses on every side of it. So the sounds just bounces off all the walls. 

Many years ago one of our Neighbours on a cul-de-sac passed away. He was in a  bikers group. They all gathered the night before the end of the tangi and the whole street was full of Harleys etc. at 5am they quietly started their bikes and left, that was the time the Neighbour normally went to work. To hear sooo many bikes Purr out of the road was Beautiful. 

He died at work in the forestry. When they brought him home they had to put his coffin into the house after removing a window. He was also in a  band. They came and warned us it might get loud. 

I remember standing at our bedroom window feeling it vibrate as they did Go Johnny Go.

It was massive. But very respectful to all the Neighbours.

I was thinking tomorrow will be worse. Bet gentle with yourself ok. 

Glad the Scoot is ok too. 

MrP drove dangerously and after , oh I cant remember how many falls he decided he would be better off without it.

I dont get those stupid adverts about paying back something? Where the guy takes bites and drinks from the ladies shopping. Its gross so I dont even listen to it..

Morning ladies I thought I had posted but hadn't lol. It's about the card surcharges, popeye, and how the card companies take extra for using paywave. BNZ have an app anyone can use instead of cards, and you won't have any surcharges. It is a gross ad, but makes its point.

It's going to be wild and woolly day, I suspect. Perfect for indoor stuff.

I hope you aren't feeling too sore today, OHH. But hey, well done you on getting up and righting the scoot! Damed agapanthus. Another reason for me to hate them.

I love Harleys as well. MrK had a Triumph back in the day, and our son is leaning towards Japanese bikes. No accounting for taste

The Furry One has finally finished his steroids. That look he gave me every time I squirted it into his ears said it all. But a $255 bill means you will have those blimmen steroids and lump it.

Ohh ok... I think its so gross my brain wouldn't register as to what it was about. 

I have two cards, one with a chip and one without. So I use the one without at places that have surcharges,, Like KFC and a couple of places in town here.

Bit stiff but otherwise not too troubled by yesterday's adventure, so that's good. I will be interested to see if anything gets done about those rain lilies though, they are great plants, but in the right place. On a public footpath is not it! Interestingly I follow a South African flower farmer who breeds agapathus, and boy he has developed some glorious forms and colours. They apparently hybridise rather well.

As for bikes give me a plastic fantastic anyday over Brit or American machines, they are too heavy, too loud, and too slow in comparison to European or Asian versions. I like bikes that are pretty and easy to ride... And not so expensive!

Fifty or so years ago, I had a Suzuki T500, a two stroke 500cc twin. I bought it in a sad state, stripped it down and rebuilt it. That was a quick bike. I sold it to pay the lawyers fees when we bought our first house.
