It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

That's fascinating - I don't know why I was so surpirsed by it though since there doesn't seem to be any limit on the stuff our species can manage to believe, however daft.

Very encouraging though - there may yet be hope for those who hold some of the more bizarre religious beliefs.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

Do they not understand how the Bible came to be? As in its source material...

Did you know the word homosexual was added to the Bible in 1946? Before that the only mention of same sex relationships was a warning about older men exploiting younger...

Even though most people are quite cunning, which masquerades as intelligence, a lot of people are actually still quite stupid unfortunately.

Some christian groups are slowly adapting to the idea, the fundamentalist groups will take much longer, some of them still think the earth is only 6000 years old, yet believe that the select few animals out of Noahs ark could evolve into the millions of different species found on this earth today at a faster rate than evolutionists believe!
Dont Be afraid of being called "far-right". These days "far-right" simply means normal.

well I suppose if God was able to make the earth in seven days, a few million species was probably easy peasy over a few thousand years...
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.
