You can never have enough...
Morning everyone

Dull and damp here. Not cold tho. I put the fan on last night , just on low to move the air about a bit.

One of my nieces in Melbourne has a dalmatian. Cant say Ive ever seen one in my life. As in see real lol.

Glad you have an extra set of ears with you KM..

I have to pop up the road this morning.

Then Ill paint. I dont have a lot of the Dragon left to do. Will have to get the magnifying glass out tho, 5's and 6's look the same and why they put them in similar colours I dont know. It would make it easier if they were totally different, and not next to each other. F's and E's are often the same.

Thinking of you today KM.

Have a good day all

lol Lilith,  I still say try watering it down with a bit of regular milk Tongue  The rest home cat is also quite demanding.  I suspect it's because all the rest home folk fuss over her.

My sister-in-law visited MrK yesterday with her Dalmation Heart and omg lol, that caused quite the stir.  He's super friendly and of course The Chase was on someone's telly.  He 'sings' along to the theme music Tongue For some reason, this mad dog lol loves The Chase.  You don't see Dalmatians very often, so he was very popular and loved all the fuss.

Our daughter is home for MrK's appointment and goes home tomorrow.  We'll find out more today, but I already know what MrK wants.

Time for an hour in the garden before a quick shower.  I also need to overlock a shirt sleeve seam I've unpicked to make it more comfortable for MrK.

Enjoy your day Smile

That could be worth a try - I did try a bit of water in it but she gave me such a look, I haven't been game to do it again... Rolleyes

We have a howling gale here, went to do dreaded groceries earlier & it was fine going there but by the time i came out again the wind had really got up so wasn't game to even try biking against it, so walked home.
Shame it wasn't a tail wind - I'd have been home in 5 minutes!

Bugger having a stupid wrist. its back in the straight jacket with deep heat on it,  now Ive eaten lunch lol.

Afternoon ladies
Rain back again here but wind not to bad. Been to Cambridge for my hydrotherapy pool session and popped into Mitre10 to get some plants for the vege garden. Sweetcorn, lettuce, cucumber, tomato and strawberry plants to be planted tomorrow. Also had 2 deutzia jump into my trolley. Mum and Dad had them in their garden and I've always loved them but rarely seen them for sale so just had to get them.
Thinking of you kiwimade for your appointment today. Hope you get the answers you need to be able to move forward and make plans. I admire your strength and resilience to cope with everything being thrown at you.
Enjoy the rest of your day ladies.

When we went for the compulsory walk earlier, half of someone's fence was only just hanging on & there were branches everywhere.
Came back to find sweetie darling no. 2 called in to have his lunch, he spent most of sunday helping down the way at the Buddhist temple where they were having a fundraising, & once he finishes work today he's going to help a mate with some work.
Its good to help people but as I told him, he's extremely unlikely to be on his deathbed wishing he'd spent more time working.

Mind you now that they're grandparents, I think he's starting to understand that.

Its just dreadful isn't it, the way stuff just jumps into your trolley or basket. You'd think someone might put a stop to it.
And bookshops are the absolute worst, on a par with toyshops with stuff jumping out at you & demanding to be taken to the baby/grandchild... Rolleyes Big Grin Big Grin

Big morning grocery delivery, then a quick scoot down to get meat and top up the vegies, and library books of course. A couple of bargain punnets jumped into my basket too, white daisies, coleus, and something else the name of which escapes me.

And on the subject of names, having masses of snow white hair gets me addressed with love by some lovely strangers, and each time it makes my heart sing. If someone wants a smile from me just call me whaea, it works everytime...

Marigolds! Dwarf yellow apparently. Reduced price cos one root trainer space was empty. But the one next door had two, so full punnet for half price. I love a bargain, lol...

Fingers crossed for the KMs.

Thinking of the KM's too.

I was very strict with my quick nip into the supermarket and then miter10 for more wood pellets. Thankfully the latter are right near the front door and checkouts so I didn't roam.

Have finished Dianne's dragon. It wasn't until I did the last two colours, both tealy blue which are her Colours. She can have it on Thursday if she would like.

My Shedual for the next 2 weeks is getting full. Free tomorrow, Thursday Dianne in the morning Drs in the afternoon. Friday my School friend.
Have to start my bridging on Monday. Linch out with Dianne and her sister Lorraine and Caron from the Home ( Colleens Daughter) Shopping Thursday then Im off.
Have to fit Erin in to give her a house key, which Im about to see if she is online now.

Ive never been so busy lol.

Yesterday we heard the news we didn't want to hear. The cancer has spread to his bones and blood and due to other health issues, his age, and lack of mobility means no treatment is being offered. This also includes radiaiton treatment as this will damage his skin and make things worse. The oncologist says three months. MrK had already made up his mind about no treatment on Saturday so when we were told the news, we both knew he had made the right choice. My heart is shattered all over again. I'm finding we all have strength when we need it, especially women. Don't ever underestimate how strong you are Heart

Good morning.

Cloudy but I see blue sky ... we must have had a shower or two overnight. No rain for us yesterday,  in fact have needed a garden watering session with everything drying out with the wind we've been having.

Sorry to see you have what you were expecting to hear confirmed KM. You will take some comfort knowing that Mr K is now in  good care and you have managed to get loose ends tidied and things in order.  Now to slow down and make the most of the time left  Heart

Today I'll get outside again and weed the remainder of the garden.  Recently received dahlia tubers need planting out and I have seedlings to get into the ground.

Another side to get started on the cardi and I need to be more vigilant with strength exercises (using weights) given by my physio after straining my back recently.  Lol, the couch was heavier than thought when I lifted one end to move a mat!

Sun's out,  time to move. Enjoy the day all.

I read a phrase this morning on substack that just appealed to me so much. It's about life and getting stuff done " before the universe wants its stardust back". Something about that phrase just sings to me.

My beautiful grandson is hitting that awkward age when his bones are starting to be too long and his frustration boils over into rage. He was suspended from his new school yesterday, for whacking his much loved sister in the face over something ridiculous. I am reminded how challenging raising children can be, and equally how hard growing up is, no matter how old we are, there is always a new obstacle we have to deal with. I am so lucky to be at an age where those obstacles are a little lower, and kinder to my psyche.

Raining again here in the smoke, but there's nothing pressing on my calendar so I don't have to get up from my beautiful bed just yet, life is good...

Morning everyone.

Wet here too. Madam is hanging in the lounge since its dull out every window.

Soo totally get how you are feeling KM. Was the same when my Stepfather had the same diagnosis after Prostate cancer moved.
Make each day count now you have done all the paperwork. Expect anger at times, and I know you will keep a close eye on the kids and grandies. But make time for you too..

I have a quiet day today.. Ill probably kit down Dianne's Dragon and find a new picture to do.

I am realizing just how horrible arthritis is in your hands. And not enjoying it. Strap the hand for one side and it makes the other side hurt.. And I know exactly why I have it. Ill see what the Dr suggests tomorrow.

Yesterday and today is 6 months since I moved into this house. And I think I've come to the end of buying stuff to help life work better and I ordered some more drawer handles last night to make all the drawers in the lounge match.

So now its time to start saving again.. Well Ill start on Jan 1st. Cos I still have Christmas shopping to get done first.

Looking back its been a year of change for us all really. Life goes on tho. one day at a time.

Have a good day everyone..

Good morning ladies

Nice and sunny today after yesterdays rain. Will be able to get the vege plants in the beds later. The two shrubs will have to wait until the weekend as will need to make room for them first.
Hugs to you and your family KM. Mr KM is in the right place and will be well looked after. At least you have been able to get all the paperwork and loose ends tidied up and you can enjoy the remaining time that you have together and make every day count. You will both be looking forward to your son coming home.
Love the quotes hunni and popeye.
On the last square for my grandsons blanket I hope. Once its all sewn together I'll decide if it needs another row. I have 10 days to finish it before his birthday.
Have a good day ladies.

That's got to be hard, KM. But you're right, we do indeed have strength when we really need it. In a situation where nothing can be done, its sometimes the smallest of things which give someone a lift. Cyberhugs to you both. Smile

That's wonderful, Oh_hunnihunni, as opposed to pointless and virtually meaningless.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

I remember telling the kid that all the atoms in our bodies had been around in some form or another for eons, and we were part of an endless recycling, with energy to give us life in what ever form for however long. Stardust. She said exactly that to her science teacher in her extremely short term third form at Marlborough Girls College and got told her Mum had no idea what she was talking about.

Shortly after that little put down the kid made it her business to escape state schooling permanently.

These days I know she made the right decision. One of the benefits of hindsight, and higher education, lol...

Hope we get a fine spot.. Neither of us need to get wet and sick.

And I have to go back out later to the Drs.

It has obviously rained today, although I didn't discover that until I was closing the curtains in the bathroom and there was a puddle just starting to dribble over the shelf in the bathroom.. We dont have any wind today.. so its not driving rain.

Im kinda over it .
