Good morning.

Calm with some blue sky showing.  Several showers overnight. Glad to have escaped that extreme weather event ... this time. Some of the pictures/scenes showed such massive damage.

Kazza another vote to leave the blanket as it is.

Nothing like having a sense of humour, even if dark at times,  to get us through life and events.

Plan to get outside again today,  still have the dahlias to get into the ground. But first this morning's school run (walk).

Have a good day all.

Morning everyone

The sun is out still grey tho.

I love dark humour KM.. Some people take life far to seriously lol..

Yep another vote for leaving the blanket Kazza. I have made Many acrylic blankets and have never lined them. I knitted one and wove the pieces together but I stitched them down so it doesn't move and its still in good nick. That's my winter blanket as it weighs a ton.

Ive precooked the sausages I got yesterday.. I will email the clinic soon and ask if I can take my knee back. I have permission to bury it here if I want. But Id hate to think someone could dig it up , or a dog lol

Off to take Aunty Erin and her lad to the MRI later. We May accidentally pop into an oppy on the way home. Theres one in Papakura I haven't been into yet lol.

Have a fa day all

LOVE that sense of humour KM.
Sunny here, ventured out earlier for bread & got tomatoes while i was there, I just fancy a tomato sandwich, might be dinner.
While I was there had a look at clothing shops as I need a new long sleeved top - awful, dreary, insipid stuff, almost all grey or beige.

Friday funny this week is Blackadder & an Australian political one. Similar to 'Honest govt' ones.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

Thank you so much for your advice ladies. I have now stitched all the squares together, now just have to darn in all the ends now not my favourite job.  Decided to leave as is as didn't realise quite how heavy it would be. Attached a photo of the finished blanket. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop the edges curling?

Love the blanket Kaza.
You could knit or crochet a border to stop  the curling

All sorted for dinner tonight having a rest before the final bench wipe down.

Home again.

We had fun, had time to pop into Kmart, got some candy cane lights I had been looking at online the other day.

Jhan was shocked at our speed of shopping lol.. I said trust me its probably Not the Norm, but when you know what you want, window shopping doesnt come into it lol.

Jhan has to wait now for results. I made him promise not to spend the next week worrying about something he has no control over.

Kazza You could gently press with a damp cloth and iron. But I would knit or crochet around it. It will give it a finished edge. and stay flat. I would suggest the lovely Blue as its darker and will not look as grubby.. I love your colour choice and the "Embossed" look.

Feet up now . A Sammie for tea later since I was treated to lunch.
