Canadian truckers protest against mandates!
#1
Thumbs Up
Have not seen much coverage on the news about this here, but about 50,000 truck drivers are in convoy protesting against vaccine mandates.
This is really going to hurt the supply chain bigtime, since this makes about 20% of the nations workforce in the industry, I bet once shop shelves are empty, they wont be able to get them back to work fast enough.
20% is not a "minority" by any means, yet our media always portrays such ones as just that.

Except most news articles revert back to "hundreds of truckers" (including in the body of the Daily Mail link), and HERE. Similarly to the Groundswell protests here the numbers have been swelled by a ragtag bunch of discontents waging protest against all manor of government regulations including swastika waving rent-a-mob individuals. Also worth noting that North Americans refer to utility vehicles/pick-ups as 'trucks' further confusing the 'trucker' reference in regard to this protest.

I've seen reasonable coverage of hundreds (not thousands) of truckers protesting over a number of things of which the vaccine mandate seems to be the last straw for people sufficiently uneducated to understand that it's not what they should be focussing on. Similar to some NZers protesting about far more issues than just vaccine.

20% IS a minority. Anything less than 50% is minority. 20% is significant which is unfortunate under the circumstances, but does show that a more significant majority of 80% hold the opposite view.

It's a shame that Elon Musk is allowing his name to used in this way, but that's his business. Articles from a website called "Rebel News" don't exactly inspire respect though, which is born out by Media Bias saying "Right Biased based on story selection that always favors the right and Mixed for factual reporting due to poor sourcing techniques and consistent one-sided reporting". Daily Mail comes off even worse in their analysis. It's much better to read factual, balanced reportage.

According to this around 90% of cross border truckers have had 2 covid shots, so it seems to be a minority protesting.

Irrespective on where you stand with rebel news, i think you will have to agree when you see how they have been bullied by cops while trying to cover a news story, its not good no matter what agenda rebel news has.
