When it rains, it pours
#1
A paltry 13mm in January, but then 119mm this weekend. It all evens out.

Things should hopefully perk up a little!

I have another baby punkin, late season. This soft constant rain should help it swell.

We've had very tight watering restrictions and our cannellini beans germinated just a few days ago, so the gentle rain tonight is incredibly welcome. The eggplants should cheer up a bit too.

Yes, the gentle start has been good, not just a downpour hitting dry soils.

We're 15km out of New Plymouth and have had 235mm this weekend, with only 24mm during January so well needed. Over 35,000L into our now full storage tanks and a large log that has been stuck in the stream on our back boundary has now gone. Looking forward to our pastures having a burst of growth soon.

Looks like they're predicting more rain at the end of the week, so hopefully a few days of warmth should dry everything out.

Paddocks are looking decidedly greener. Peaches looking a little plumper.
