Covid transmission rates modelled
#1
Slightly more sound data around transmission rates

Quote:His model indicated that, despite accounting for just around two in 10 of all Kiwis, the unvaccinated were responsible for 45 per cent of all new Omicron infections, compared with 39 per cent for those with two doses, and 15 per cent for boosted people.
Overall, the model calculated that, when compared with boosted people, unvaccinated people were 3.1 times more likely to infect others and 2.4 times more likely to be infected.
"More interestingly, transmission from boosted-to-boosted people is only responsible for three per cent of new infections, when normalised by population," Watson said.

Probably, it'll be the 'devices'....Smile

But then what can they expect, if they won't wear their tinfoil hats.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

Interesting graph in this Stuff article - scroll down a bit - where age groups and omicron infections are matched.

Really clear who is staying home and avoiding spreader possibilities. Sensible lot, us oldies...

probably also reflects the realities of life, younger folks have to get out to work regardless, to pay the rent/mortgage etc

Interesting though when places of interest were being closely reported it was the socialising spots that seemed to come up again and again. Which also reflects the younger generations biological drive to meet and mate!
