Restoring TV channels after 21/3/22 – HELP!
#1
Since the TV channel changes on 21/3/22, I have completely lost TV1 + 1 on my Sony Model 40CX520 digital TV.  It used to be on channel 11, but now I get an error message "This programme number is not available".  The Freeview app still says it's there but it doesn't appear on my TV.
I've gone through my TV manual repeatedly but the instructions are VERY muddled and unhelpful.
Can anyone guide me, gently and patiently, through simple step by step instructions on how to recover this channel.  I'm not stupid (I used to teach computing) but this is bizarre and frustrating. Thanks in advance.

I had to get our tv to rescan the tv channels, as you would if setting up from new.
So I would start in the tv settings and find channel settings or similar, then it will be something like autoscan
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

@badjer27, It's probably worth confirming whether you are accessing Freeview via terrestrial or satellite reception as instructions could well differ depending on this. I suspect you're using terrestrial for TV1+1 previously being 11 as on our sat dish based reception TV1+1 used to be channel 6, now 11.

King1 - rescanning instructions do not appear in the manual, only initial setup instructions, and I can't see any "rescanning" options anywhere.

Harm_less - Yes it is terrestrial, but the manual instructions are not clear about working with this.
