AdBlock not working
#1
Turned on my lappy this morning to find that AdBlock doesn't seem to be working and also that every time I change over to my emails (viewed using Thunderbird) the (Firefox) browser closes so I have to reopen the sites I was previously viewing.

Going to the Firefox Add-ons to reinstall AdBlock results in them telling me that the add-on I'm trying to install is corrupted so can't be installed???

Tried that with same result "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt."

I've current got ESET doing a virus scan of my lappy and plan to do a full restart once that is complete. Something lurking on my computer by the looks as too many random issues popping up this morning.

since it's doing the same with any addons i'd be more inclined to think it is something to do with the firefox profile itself being corrupt

Try troubleshoot mode from the menu -> help

and yes a restart is good idea as well - are these random issues all firefox related or are there other things?

A full power down and restart seems to have cured the problems I was having. An incomplete browser update maybe?

Pity we can't cure all our current issues by rebooting the systems involved Rolleyes
