Yet another school shooting in America
#1
I find it hard to understand why a school shooting in America is news. It's not as if it's anything unusual. They do it on a regular basis.

Anywhere else in the world that would be news but why do they report a shooting in the land that invented school shootings? And they said on the news that the gunman had an arsenal of weapons and ammunition. But that's the case with all these maniacs that go on a killing spree.

So why do the news people think it worth reporting? It's just a normal happening in America. It does not make sense.

politically the gun control regime is at a stalemate thanks to the NRA, so I would hazard a guess the best they can do to elicit change politically is to make sure it is all out in the open...
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

I look forward to hearing the story behind this. Mass shootings by women are so rare that there has to be one...

Transgender girl who attended a Christian school begs a ton of questions to begin with.

They said in the news tonight that they have had like 137 shootings or something of that number over the last year, thats so hard to comprehend, obviously we are only hearing about the significant cases here.

Most of these seem to stem from a history of  bullying.

And on the news today (Wednesday 29th) it was reported that there has been 130 mass shootings in America this year - and it's only March, that's more than one a day - with 10,000 killed since January!

America is a nice place to visit and we have found Americans very friendly and welcoming but I sure as hell would not like to live there with all those maniacs running around with assault rifles. And would you really want to send your children to school there? American schools sound very dangerous places. I even heard on the news of an 8 year old who took a gun to school and the teacher was taken to task by his parents because she took the gun off him. Incredible! Rolleyes Think I'll stay in little New Zealand. Much safer.

I went looking for any states that had no school shootings, thinking there must be somewhere. Still looking...

A lot to unpack in this news item on the shootings/shooter: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/us-chri...-identity/

Religious views and anti-transgender attitudes front and centre it would seem.

Absolutely perfectly summed up. Never mind the nutter with a gun & the dead people, just step over them & do not look at that pornographic statue... Rolleyes

The world is a weird place. And humans are crazy.

The daughter of s former pastor was also killed in the attack.

Yes, sadly this is a common theme, however thats not a means to justify the persons actions, but such things are a reason for why these things happen.

There was a recent shooting in Germany this month at a Jehovahs Witness church (kingdom hall)
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64910415
Turns out the shooter was an ex-member who was likely shunned by his family and friends.
I hold the leadership ultimately responsible for the deaths, even though its not their direct action of the shooter they have no idea on what the mental state is of such people that they punish or what it could drive such a mentally predisposed person to do.

We're a very strange species, with some deeply weird religious beliefs. I'm very thankful to never have any need for organised religion.

I never needed it either, I was just unfortunate to be born into one, but we all took the red pill.
