Donald Trump Indicted
#1
Might be the beginning of the end for him...

Quote:The indictment has been filed under seal and will be announced in the coming days. The charges are not publicly known at this time, one source told CNN. Trump will likely be arraigned in court early next week, according to his defense attorney, Joe Tacopina.

The DA's office has been investigating the former president in connection with his alleged role in a hush money payment scheme and cover-up involving adult film star Stormy Daniels that dates to the 2016 presidential election. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office will reach out to Trump's attorneys to discuss his surrender to face an arraignment.

...

Trump's lawyer Alina Habba said in a statement that Trump "is a victim of a corrupt and distorted version of the American justice system and history. He will be vindicated."

Trump was caught off guard by the grand jury's decision to indict him, according to a person who spoke directly with him While the former president was bracing for an indictment last week, he began to believe news reports that a potential indictment was weeks -- or more -- away.

Oh dear - stand by for the proverbial to hit the fan. That fool of a man will almost certainly attempt to stir up his benighted followers & it could possibly get quite nasty over there, poor America.

Rubbish. The court system in the US is anything but left. They also have taken years to come to this point, and - it isn't about politics. It is about whether he knew non business expenses were being disguised as commercial transactions, which is commercial fraud.

Not about porn queens, or trash sex, or morals or any of that good stuff. All about the capitalist system guarding its own boundaries.

And even if he is mid court action, he can still stand for office under their system... So no, not political.

Except for those of us in the cheap seats. We love it.

He's brought it all on himself too, which is a  just a little extra dash of amazement at the man. Rolleyes Big Grin

Is it really that a serious crime to pay a portion star he had an affair with to keep quiet?
What did he actually do wrong? Lots of high profile people probably do this.
Anyway it seems the accusations are all made up.

I'm still stunned that anyone with such a record of financial dodginess & now possible legal charges & or conviction is somehow still seen as being eligible to run for President... Rolleyes Rolleyes Dodgy

You do know they dont actually even know what they are supposed to be charging Trump with yet?
Tucker Carlson was covering it really well.
Its all a ploy from the radical left to destroy his 2024 campaign, only problem is its backfiring. His popularity is surging as a result.

And also regarding the capitol riots, Trump was cleared of any blame for that and turns out that with the new footage that has emerged that Jacob Chansley was innocent too, telling everyone to go home and be peaceful.
Also turns out the police let them all in!

"He has been charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree."

From this more reliable source than the 'alternative' news sources you're quoting.

C_T_Russell you seem as if you are living in a different reality to the rest of us, try to find your way back to the real world.

Let's not go all crazy and start saying Stuff is a reliable source.

Unfortunately CT is correct - Trumps popularity is surging after this taking him well ahead of DeSantis for the Republicans nomination.   Could it be that for the second election in a row the best "leaders" the US voters could come up with is Biden and Trump?

Trump's popularity surges everytime he gets media coverage. The man is a superb demogogue with an audience of fools and idiots.

I'll say it again. These charges are commercial fraud charges. The system punishes those who seek to cheat it. It has very little to do with politics, in fact, it is the politics which have hindered this prosecution for so long, allowing this cheating scam artist to prosper on the basis of smoke and wind while the wheels grind...
